A Rough Ryder "Blue Mule", and an Ocoee River "Canoe" (by Frost Cutlery). I don't know why Ocoee River would call theirs a Canoe, but then again the world rarely makes sense to people who have sense.
Despite the differences in the names, and the fact that the Rough Ryder has Stainless bolsters, I am fairly sure that these two were made in the same factory.
The Elephant Toenail does not look like a practical pocket knife, but I was surprised to discover yesterday that it is not as heavy or bulky in the pocket as I had expected.
One will be going up for sale soon.

Definitely a nice pair. Probably a tough decision on which to keep, too.

I will probably keep the Rough Ryder. I have high hopes of someday making my own knives from scratch. If I take one apart to use as a pattern, I would prefer to take apart the ugliest one.

I, too, would be interested in making my own knives...but that's a dream all too easily trampled flat by reality. And I don't think the Rough Ryder is 100% ugly...just that the match-strike looks a little out of place on the small nail nick.

Thanks, Tom. I can date the four-line stamp on the Camillus but I don't know when Camillus made the High Carbon Steel for Sears.

I'd say so. They're a fantastic duo!
How 'bout a pair of Wounded Warrior Project SAKs?

Beautiful pair. I love that kind of bone, and killer jigging, and the single flute on the bolsters, and the spears. Mmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnn.

Yet another matching pair: 100th Anniversary 34OTs. The one on the left will stay all nice and pretty, while the one of the right sees pocket time (as it did with a previous owner).

Now that right there is the mark of a true collector and connoisseur: one knife to keep pristine and one to EDC. The perfect solution to the conundrum of whether to preserve or use a favorite pattern. Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?
Here are a couple more of my matching pairs. I'm only using 1 of the 4 in my EDC rotation, can you tell which one it is?

(Hint: it already has a patina developing on the carbon (CS) blade). The other three all have SS blades and will remain shiny, sharp and pristine as the day they were made.

Wow Q, that 54 single looks like a whole new animal. Congrats. Bighead did it right. Like that jade and the patina, glad you like it enough to use. Sweet Kroos too. They are some lookers for sure. Great stuff, good looking knives.

A very nice two-pair hand, Q! Now you just need an ace kicker.

Well, ya can’t have just one! One I had to clean up, the other is like factory new! Both are sharp as new razors. Love my Ka-bars!!

Not an exact match, but these two share a few common elements that may (loosely) qualify them as a matching pair; although, "distant cousins" would probably be more accurate:
1) Single Wharncliffe Blade
2) Brown Canvas Micarta Handle
3) Barehead
4) Made in China
