My memory is pathetic. I got so wound up with the rehandle Dale sent to me, I neglected mentioning the other item that was in the package. He also sent this little Pacific Rim USMC Mini-Ka-Bar style fixed blade. It's just as cute as a bugs ear and even though it's origin is a Pacific Rim country, I like it quite a bit. Check it out. The blade is 4¾" and the total length is 8½". As you can see the handle is hollow and in addition to the little compass in the butt cap, there is a little tube containing some matches, a striker, some nylon (?) line and a fish hook.

Rolled up to the mailbox this afternoon and there was an envelope and I thought immediately 2017 AAPK knife! Then I realized it was from another location. I haven't identified the anonymous sender yet, but who ever, thank you for sending a brand new Rough Rider Trapper, an RR1498.
The box sez' Strawberry Bone Deluxe Quality Knives and I am impressed by the quality of this knife. Great fit and finish, it walks and talks, the color is attractive , pinched bolsters, good looking knife. I'm going to sharpen it and give it a real work out, let my EDCs have some time off.
I've been bombed a couple of times but not anonymously, so far my detective work hasn't produced results.

Well Farmer if it's like most of them it won't need sharpening right away. They come sharp rite out the box.

There ya go Cuz. I like those Indian Stag Delrin® handles and slanted bolsters. Probably very early to mid or mid late '70s. I think Camillus introduced Indian Stag in 1972.
