I do not. I also had the LR3 Congress but it just didn't trip my trigger so it moved on and lives with Old Hunter (if he still has it). The 72 is the only one left in the pile.

The 'trip my trigger' pun did not go unnoticed. Very good. 72's do have a way of growing on you. Thanks for sharing the picture of the #6.

Speaking of the LR6, to me, it's pretty obvious this one was made in the last days of Camillus.

They seemed to use up what they had. Very nice knife.

Today's mail was a package from Gearbest that took *4 months* to arrive. It was ordered on Nov 16 and arrived today. I had already submitted this as a claim to Gearbest as a lost order, and they had already sent me a replacement package. I received that replacement package last week!
So, now I have an unopened package of two cheap Chinese knives that are duplicates of what I received last week. So - now what? Do I tell Gearbest their 3-legged donkey from Azerbaijan finally made it to California? I suppose that's the right thing to do, but I sure as heck am NOT going to pay to ship anything back to them. These two cheap knives cost a total of $11. If they want them, they can send that donkey back for them. I may sit on them for a month or two and THEN tell them they finally arrived...
Gearbest Priority Shipping...

Sticking with the Camillus slant today, i finally got to see my early mystery stag handled Sword Brand with coined liners no less. As you can see it does favor the first gen 72 but no matchstrike long pull
Also what may become one of my favorites. Simple, elegant, sophisticated with immaculate half stop and highly audible crack at opening and closing

Ahhhhhhhh hahahhaha ha ha ha ha ha ha, that's one great photo man, that should be in the photography thread. Hilarious. Who's the donkey in the picture, the beast of burden or the guy who loaded that cart? Best laugh of the day, thanks.

These three arrived today.
A WW2 Engineer's Knife - Made In U.S.A. - No manufacturer, an unbranded cattle knife (thanks to bestgear - Cosgrove Cutlery), and a 1979 Case 63032.
The Case's main blade is etched HOPKINS CREEK. The sheepfoot is etched 429 CARS 8-22-84.
My guess is it was a give-away to a car dealership. I'm assuming Hopkins Creek is in Maryland.
The blades aren't in the best of shape but it has nice bone and is a tight knife.
Anybody have any idea about Hopkins Creek?
Thanks......Bruno

I'll bet you are correct about the car sales giveaway. I'm thinking it was a thank you gift given to the sales reps for the dealership having a record month or quarter. I really like the bone on that one!

Just got this gem today. A Queen #31 Half Congress circa 1958-60.
Bottom pic is the sellers which is much better than mine.

Queen has made such unique handles, it is very cool that many of their knives aren't just another jigged bone/synthetic. I hope they find a way back into operation that can maintain that independent spirit.

I am EXTREMELY happy with today's mail call!! I picked-up this 2001 Case 62109W barehead copperhead with a wharncliffe blade. I like the slightly "unusual" knives that you don't see everyday and I think this one certainly fits that description.

Nice pick up TwoFlowersLuggage. It is indeed clean in its design and condition. My latest addition is a Camillus made for McGrew Pawn in Glenwood Arkansas. I think the pawn shop burned down this past fall. My dad was raised in Glenwood until he was 12. They then moved to North Texas. As a little boy when ever we visited Glenwood I thought it was heaven with mountains and trees. Could not pass up the knife as it stirred happy memories. And it is a pretty nice knife as well.

Nice pick up. If it's the one I'm thinking of, I was following it on ebay. Definitely different.

I also hope Queen re-opens their doors. It would be great if they could go back to their roots and build knives with Winterbottom and a Rogers type bone but the current market would not support it. Not enough knife nuts out there to stay in the black.

Thanks Railsplitter and bdev. I did get it off ebay so it is probably the one you saw. I understand that McGrew sometimes bought from local blade smith's an had them put his name on them. I don't know that for certain though. Interesting fellow.

Colonial equal end jack with shell handles.
A lot of knife for not a lot of money.
What's not to like about these "gas station cardboard display" knives?

Well now you do. I have a couple of McGrew's made by Camillus. I didn't know it was a Pawn Shop. New information for me. Thanks.
