Thanks for the comments dudes ::tu::
Lots of good pictures in here these days.

I wasn't going to post these pictures with the berries or in a tree. The lighting wasn't quite right, they didn't turn out. But since the berries are only around for a while and you guys were posting knives found in trees, I wanna be cool too ::shrug::

Some leaves will turn orange
Most are yet green
Others are busy reddening
Yet others fell early
And are already Browning ::facepalm::

The dark berries in the earlier pictures are aronia. These are buckthorn. The natives used them for purging :?
These smaller red I do believe are some variety of nightshade.

On the sport I was trying to highlight an area not often focused on. But then gave up and tried it with sticks and berries. Still not satisfied I stuck it in a tree. It fell and stuck into an exposed root. Thought that was pretty cool. 8)

I appreciate trying different things...I too like experimenting with backgrounds, angles, lighting, etc. I take a lot of pictures, most of which don't work out for one reason or another (thank goodness for digital cameras and smart phones....think of doing this the old school way with actual film ::undecided:: ). We generally want to post only our successful shots, but every now and then it may not be such a bad idea to post one that didn't work out as hoped, along with some analysis -- for educational purposes ::hmm::

Thanks Q. I don't have the technical ability to consciously attempt to accent contrast, lighting, etc. I just look for what is pleasing to my eyes. Sometimes others agree and sometimes they don't. I work with what nature puts in my path when I'm out in a wooded area. What little technical ability I have I acquired here from other members, Iman, yourself, and TripleF being the major contributors.

You’d better keep an eye on Ol’ Zeus, T-Dog. He appears to be eyeing that knife while preparing a place to stash it the second your back is turned! ::sneaky:: ::paranoid:: :lol:

I like the wood on this one.

I actually have an ancient smartphone. Coded with hieroglyphics and made out of sandstone (a samsung s9) but it takes pretty good pictures, as long as I can keep my sweatty mits from touching the lens and not realizing it before i take hazy pictures and wonder why they're garbage.
