If your camera has an SD card, remove it and plug it in to your laptop.

Just got this Northfield GEC 25 from KnifeSlinger#81. Antique Amber Jigged Bone made in 2015.
Absolutely love this knife. I've had plenty of 25's over the years but sold them off to buy other knives.
This one is a keeper.
Thanks Paul.

This 07 has (I'm guessing pressed) black jigged laminate handles. Super walk and talk with rather abrupt edges to the as ground blades and the laminate handles.

Micarta is a brand name.

Laminate is one of their products.

G10 is a grade of laminate.

I should not have used FRN because it means Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon and I have no idea what materials went into making up the laminate used for those handles. There, I fixed both posts.

The mailman dropped this on my porch just a bit over an hour ago. The new release GEC #56 dogleg jack. A couple first for me, first in this pattern and first micarta handled knife. Also might add that my 1st impressions of this knife are quite favorable, should see a lot of pocket time I'm thinking.

Nice pattern. I like the spear blade.
I remember having a 56 when GEC was making them in 2011.
Here's the link to their pattern page....

Thanks for the link Brunno. The clip blade versions look pretty good too, so has GEC not made this pattern since 2011?

Excellent mail call for me today!

I am now a Camillus collector. I went from 0 to 2 in one mail call! A #21 peanut and a #87 stockman. The #87 is the one I asked about in another thread and I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it. I'm really glad I did! It is in excellent condition and the tang is stamped much better than the seller's pictures indicated. The long line Camillus is clearly there.

The little Imperial with the bail & cap lifter is very interesting. Around the pin of the bail it says "Anson 1/10 Silver Filled". Google tells me that Anson is a maker of sterling silver Men's jewelry based in Prov, RI (which explains the association with Imperial Knife). They started making Men's cuff links, tie tacks, money clips, etc in 1948. Anson, Inc was purchased by C&J Jewelry in 1993. It appears that Anson & Imperial cooperated on many products, including a variety of different knives and money clips w/knife blades. It's not worth very much, but I think it is pretty neat!

A little old boy scout appeared at my door today and needed a place to stay, so I let him in. I think his last name is Camillus.

Just got this Queen #10 Jack. What's different about it is it's a barehead. It is not capped. This is the first time I've seen this. ::shrug::

The 1047 is just the Scout version of the 72, they just don't stamp the pattern number on the back of the main blade in the 1047's and of course they have a Scout shield on the mark side handle (which should go without saying).
