"Stainless Cutlery Co" made the first stainless 'Scout' pattern in 1927. Does not quite fit with the dates you give. And i'm not sure if the blades look stainless, can't remember. I'll check the pic after posting this wild guess.

Yep, i just looked. Picture is waaayyy back there. Lotsa guesses. Blades could be stainless !
And, it looks like my old Sword Brand, 4 line Camillus Scout from the same era.
