Three very fine knives Iman, flaws and all! First time I've seen that color Micarta and although I'm not a big fan of green handles, on your knives they seem to fit just fine. Nice posting bud! 8)

Some great Micarta, I-Man! ::tu::

Yesterday I shot a video on the 37-pattern Case. My two carriers posed for a "matching pairs" photo. (Now I have to wonder how a Soddie would look in Micarta.)

Nice Soddies, Dan. The most basic, no-nonsense, non-pretentious, simple yet extremely functional pattern if ever there was one! ::nod::

A pair of SFO Case single-blade Wharncliffe 154W Trappers from 2009 (crowfoot jigged green bone) & 2022 (barehead green canvas micarta): Notice the extra pin in the micarta model. ::hmm::

Two real beauties right there ~Q~! That extra pin is quite puzzling. ::hmm:: ::shrug:: ! 8)

Mahalo, Marco. :D

I just realized that the reason there's no 4th pin on the bone handled trapper is because it has a cap bolster where the "extra" pin is located on the barehead model. ::dang::

Ah ha, that makes sense bud. ::idea:: With the power of deduction you display you should have been a private investigator! LOL! 8)

Yes Sir Q. Correct. Move third pin down or add another. Still need pin for liners where cap would be. Three pins on both may have been possible of course but might be a tooling or possible more cumbersome re-tooling driven decision.

Nice pair. Just wondered how the run up is on the one with bone covers vs. the one in micarta? I sent mine back to the factory, Case agreed there was merit in my claim that the knife was unsatisfactory. We'll see what they do about it and how many clams it will cost. That''s great bone and jigging. Love that bone.

Those 2 are very nice Whitney. Being a spear-point kindda guy I immediately pictured your knives with such blades and the drool started rolling! Congrats on completing the set! 8)

Nice pair. Just wondered how the run up is on the one with bone covers vs. the one in micarta?
Honestly, it's about the same...maybe a little better fit, but not much. Funny that I didn't really notice the run up issue on the bone handled model until I got the micarta model and compared them. Also, the W&T on the micarta 154W is much crisper than on the bone 154W. Very strange :?. Apparently, quality control inconsistency seems to be the norm on modern Case knives. Although I understand there were additional reasons for the demise of Queen/Schatt & Morgan, the QC issues in the DFC era certainly played a role in the decline of their popularity. Hopefully, this will not be repeated by Case as well. ::undecided::

Exactly what Marco said. Q, a question. Do you think that GEC is today making knives as beautiful as a few years ago? I am not
referring to the quality, rather to the aesthetic appeal.

Wow what a pair Q. Congrats, those two are grail knives and rare, much sought after beauties. Top of the heap, or pile knives. Kudos to Lansky too.
