No. I guess I'm intimating they could have. T.J. you know all my information is by guess and by golly. Purely speculation. Read the knife. The jigging looks the same to me.

John, that USA jack with the spear is a honey.

Here's a sweet Robeson.
Unusual that it has no pattern number on the back of the tang.
I don't know the pattern name of this beautifully made knife. 3 inches closed.

Edit: I realized it's probably a pen knife.
Here is a near identical knife I bought years ago stamped B&B Chicago Illinois and is shown in comparison to the Camillus GW knife. Is yours the same size? Background is 1" squares.

That is quite a knife, Ray. Very nice.
Mine is not the same size. Mine is 3 inches closed.

Now I'm wondering what size knife ol' George was packin'.
We have here examples of 2 1/2", 3" and 4".

Welp, the article does not guarantee that that is his actual knife. It kinda says to take it with a grain of salt and make up your own mind. It would be neat if you could see the tang stamp. Bound to be a Sheffield stamp.

Cool Camillus/BSA advertisement; I had seen them all except for the fixed blade Bird & Trout design - love to find one of those! OH

Not to take anything away from the beauties after your post but I had to post my Two Sun knife that looks so much like your Benchmade.
I know I defend these clones (not counterfeits) 24 dollars vs what $$$$... I have two BenchMades. I like them because they are Benchmades BUT aren't they over priced?
Nice for sure, and American made. I get that. If Bench were 1/2 the price I would own a LOT more of them. That's all I am sayin'

Frankly, I don't get the comparison to either knife.

RailSplitters Bench,,, The first Black handled knife.

The first thing that came to my mind was the Two Sun that I have. I don't like or approve of counterfeits but I do approve of less expensive. To ME they look very similar..

I don’t get the comparison either visually or especially quality. The two brands are not even close in technology (axis lock) materials the handles are made of the blade steel used or quality of workmanship. They are just worlds apart

I don't see it either Joe, but I'll pay for the quality, workmanship and material.

Ken, I've never heard of the Two Sun brand. Good looking knife. What is the blade steel?

Benchmades might be a little on the expensive side but I have never considered them overpriced. Many of their models sport the Axis Lock feature which in my opinion, is one of the best blade lock mechanisms ever invented. They offer great steel choices too. The 943 in my pic is S30V and the 485 is M390.

I've heard good things about their customer service and warranty work as well but I've never had to use it.

I do understand that some folks think they are overpriced. I can respect that point of view but I think they are reasonably priced for what you get. I've owned a few Bencmades in the past but before these arrived, I only had a Mini Griptilian on hand which I bought when you could still get them for $70. Also a fantastic knife.

I think it's pretty safe to say that these two new-to-me Benchmades will be appreciated for what they are rather than how much they cost.

Nice BM's Rick, that axis lock will keep you fidgeting for hours :D

M390 is a very nice steel. I have used bm customer service several times, they are superb in every aspect of that.

Ok...
I put them in the same frame, and I do agree that they are different in shape/style. 100% agree.

What I DO know is the Two Sun has a bearing system that does not get effected by grit. Pocket lint is nothing compared to pockets full of CF dust or Fiberglass dust at the end of the day.

I have that gentleman's auto by BenchMade that cost me 149.99. I wanted to return it the moment I opened the package but I carried it for a few days.
The Two Sun works,(flipper) and the Bench fails to open fully. That is my point! How do I compare the two value wise? Not sayin'

I see a few posts before I post this...
MYSTERY STEEL is all I can say. I don't know what they are made of. Where did BM get theirs? IN house?
Mot to start a better oil conversation BUT I know what is working for me, and what I paid for it.

Here is the proof
I'll find the image of the BM I have, and most of you already know what it is... I'll happily trade it for 1/4 the 149.00 at Blade HQ, and buy another Two SAun.
Jusat sayin' I didn't like the BM for "ME" . It's not tough enough..

Here we go again a member posts a pic of a new knife he gets and is very happy with and excited about and someone opens his mouth and lets him know how terrible he finds that knife and compares it to a knife we all know it doesn’t compare too!

What is your point of doing this Ken ? Opinions are like noses we all have one But when it becomes unpleasant to another member sometimes you should keep it to yourself
I find it inappropriate and uncalled for as it serves no purpose but to degrade the members new find Especially when you claim that you have the exact same knife then you tell them you think it’s a piece of junk what’s your point?
Not cool at all buddy

This is the one...
I meant to say above that the Two Sun (China knife)) does NOT jam up with pocket dirt. 24 dollars
My BM does... 148.00 at BHQ

Ohhh No sir Gino. I do not in any way wish to degrade another members find or the company from which it came from.

My desire is to add my opinion of the knives posted, and allow grown adults to research, and determine what they may need for themselves.

My FIRST purchase was a BenchMade, and I'll tell you what Gino... I am now liking vintage knives. Knives made well before BM's founders were born.

I will never intentionally disrespect ANY member here. I will however state "MY'opinion" because we are all free to do so.

I respect everyone, and I appreciate what you believe Gino. ::handshake::

ESPN. My FIRST real knife purchase WAS a BenchMade! Figure that one Sir!

Edit:
ESPN: Sir,
If you want this knife, new in box, with the sock it came in WITH the receipt... PM me an address to send it to.
Seriously, I can not in good consciousness sell iot for what I paid for it
