I like the green one.
Unusual shield on those! 8)

I think you should keep them and pick up where your father left off ::nod::
Good afternoon Dimitri
Thank you for the words of encouragement to carry on the knife collecting.
The Old Bullets are all gone. As you can see still have some rare and nice knives left. I am hanging on to a couple of few of the Remingtons. I am picking up a new knife here and there know it’s not collecting in you or my fathers terms. Think I am up to six in the last two years. Definitely will be more club knives and a few that catch my eye. Far more going out than coming in.
I have a couple of Knife slips coming today from our own Best Gear/Tom and will be carrying a couple of knice Remingtons that will be posted.
Don’t want to high Jack this thread.
Thank you again
Steve

Don't worry about hijacking the thread, we're use to that around here!

I'm pretty sure if you hang around here long enough we'll make a knife collector out of you yet! ::nod:: ::groove::

That’s a gorgeous example Mikel,
Dads is a bit rough. The other side of the blade is not as good shape no etching.

One Remington collector spent the evening going through some with Dawn Powerwash, Q-tips, compressed air, and #9 oil. I think I used half a box of Q-tips getting 90 years of oil, dirt, and verdigris out of the blade wells and joints.

A lot of these knives still have surprisingly strong walk and talk after all these years. It’s been a good way to really get familiar with the collection one knife at a time.

Anybody else actually clean and maintain their Remingtons, or am I the only one spending my evening scrubbing pivots?

Looks like they cleaned up nice. I use the same little oil bottle, I really like the needle applicator tip.

I like it too.

I got mine with a little bottle to refill. It was the more expensive option/oz compared to the big bottle you see. I’d suggest that and a tiny funnel instead of the small one for $15 that comes with the applicator.

Mine had a little O-ring that deteriorated and fell in the oil. I’ve got a mix of them somewhere in the garage and haven’t replaced them yet.

Excellent results. I use the Powerwash for painting prep, it's the best in my book. 😎👍
