This just showed up ten minutes ago! Elk Ridge Bowie. Very nice for a Pacific Rim knife. $35.00 delivered.

Delivered today two very satisfying Queen products. An orange bone Colonel Coon Trapper. Half stops and that characteristic "precision click" I find on the smaller CCs. when I close them. I find it quite different and highly appealing: seems to make quality audible. The second knife is a Queen Stockman done up in Buffalo Horn. A very attractive piece. The only minor quibble is that the master blade is unsure about its' half stop, i.e a bit on the weak side. By contrast the other two blade half stops are decisive.

Came in yesterday's mail. One of the nicest shell handles I've ever seen. Very substantial.
I'm very pleased with it and Brent (LuvStag) is very good to deal with. Highly recommended.

Moki Kronos.
Proof of suggestive perception. Never would have known about or thought of wanting a Kronos before I started reading AAPK. It's all your fault. I saw some post them for years, saw the pics, read what you said about them. Moved on. But it kept coming up, whispering in my mental ear. On and on for years. But it seemed like just too much dough. Well eventually like a dog to his vomit, finally came around and succumbed to the temptation. Like a true addict. Caved. But here's the thing. There is nothing on this knife that isn't perfect. I hesitate to use that word, I looked for flaws, I went over it with a fine toothed comb. I compared it to knives costing three times as much. For about the price of two modern Case or Queen middle of the road regulars, this Kronos is worth far more than those. There is not a transition on it you can feel. Totally flawless, flushness, tight, seamlessly smooth from one material to the next WAY better than my Case, Queen, GEC, Northwoods, Tim Britton customs. No comparison. The Krokos beats them all hands down. Not even close. None of my GEC lock up like this either. The lock up is so tight there is zero movement. I compare it to a Tony Bose LB Whittler. Same kind of super tight lock up, but 1/3 the price so the Kronos wins. This has the best LB solidity I've ever seen. Whole different level. So smooth that when you depress the lock lever, the blade seems to fall freely down to about where a half stop would be and then it gently comes to a stop with no half stop. Absolute perfect mix of tight lock up and free, easy, unhindered movement to the point the blade free falls out of lock up. Incredible. The bone stag is better than any I've ever seen, looks more real, better textured and gnarly, better glowing color, looks like stag instead of bone with crude jigged grooves made to look like stag but can still see the tool marks clearly. Superb and superior action, walk and talk, nice snap, centering, transitions, weight, size, cool blade steel. I could go on. But the point is this is a bargain for the price. I'd say it's as good as any custom I have that cost three times the price. And it's about the prettiest amber bone stag I have. And it's a flawless, beautiful piece. Nothing at all wrong with this and everything on it is really good or superior. Might be the best pocket knife I have, best and not saying that lightly. I cannot say enough about this and highly recommend it. Can't believe they didn't sell out long ago, but no, they are still available, no feeding frenzy. Can't believe that either.

I have a Moki Calliope and I agree about the custom quality. It can't be beat and these are well worth the asking price.

I have owned one for probably 6-7 years and I agree with everything that you wrote and the VG-10 steel is awesome as well. I also carry mine about 20 or so days a year and love it infact I’m pulling my back out and in my pocket haha

Ha ha ha, the power of suggestion. I hear you. I started seeing them a couple of years ago on the forums. Maybe it was you. Don't recall, but it made an impact. Slow cooking on the back burner since then. What a machine though, when I see this, what is possible, I am really impressed because it puts my GEC Lock Backs to shame in the lack of movement department. Moki also puts them and all others to shame in about every other category. Blows them away. Have a Glory and Kronos, and will get more. These things are such fine knives for the price. The Glory was less than eighty bucks. For that price IMHO, it's got to be about the best there is. Kronos are more, but again, for the price of two average, middle of the road knives from Case, Queen, etc. there is no comparison to me. This one blows them away. You can have a couple more average knives or you can have a super fine smooth operating finely crafted precision machine. I have plenty of average knives I'd trade for one of these. Not even close. Moki wins. I'd put any pocket knife up against them and even custom makers stuff. There might be better out there, but my limited experience has not brought me across any yet.

Those moki's sure look nice, and I like vg10 steel. I may have to get one sometime.

Elvis (Bob P.) re-handled a Camillus 72 in stag for me. I got it back yesterday. I'm quite pleased with it. Thank you Bob. Thought y'all might like to see it.

Wow, that stag on the Camillus 72 is nothin' but nice!! I am going to have to do that to my 72.

Jerryd ya just had to show that off didn't you. I guess there's only one thing to do ,start hunting a couple of nice stag slabs.

Got a little carried away on the bay the other night. Craftsman 'Old Crafty' Barlow, Remington Electrician, ? (possible Colonial), Cattle knife.

I am currently involved in a trade and my trading partner sent me three Black Box Winchesters to choose from. They arrived today and I'm going to pick one and send the other two back along with my end of the trade. A unique opportunity for me.

Oh, the decisions us knife guys sometimes have to make.

I also got this Schatt & Morgan Executive Jack today and I get to keep this one. I'm pretty much over the moon satisfied with this knife. It's built on the same #99 frame as the Northwoods Indian River Jack but I would actually rather have this knife because of the much lower price, quality build, and the ATS-34 Wharncliffe blade.

It's about time I found something that I actually like the lower cost alternative better. This is a really sweet knife.

Nice choice on the S&M #99 Executive Jack, Rick. I have several 99s as well as an IRJ and, other than the price, shield and wharncliffe blade, they're basically the exact same knife. Schatt & Morgan got that one right for sure.

I'm back on the ivory fixation...picked up these two little sleeveboards from a seller right here on AAPK where the ivory trade is still alive and well. Although to be clear, both of these are made with pre-ban ivory.
