OC, I'm going to stick in my nickel minus three here and recommend jigged bone. For me it's more in tune with the age of the knife. BTW, that's a dandy.

OC can't wait to see what you go with. I bet you dress it up. A dandy little knife.

Jerry, that's what I was leaning toward also. I just got an assortment of different bone from Culpeppers and a dark jigged bone might be best to keep the character of the knife the same. It is in nice shape except for the shrunked composite black handles. Am I correct in calling this pattern a 3 blade jack or would something else cover it better?

Thanks for your most interesting chart on the Camillus military knife. It would appear that the one I posted the picture of above would be considered a 14J95C from revision on 4/25/42 with molded stag, no shield, all iron and would be considered an Air Corps Knife.

OC, that is a cool pick up.
Fished this little 33 out of the bay. The blades show staining from improper storage but the handles are like brand new. It is a short line tang stamp and great snap on both blades. It has half stops on both blades.

The postlady had been good to me the last couple of weeks. A short line 33, a short line 72, a short line 64 and a little 53.

Here is a neat small Camillus Sword Brand Wharncliffe Whittler, 2 7/8" closed. There are repairs to handle on both sides but i think these are the original handles.

Here is a Camillus made "Crossman Blades 932A", 3 3/4" 2 blade knife with liner lock master. It is a stout powerful knife. Would be an excellent user EDC type knife.

What a great looking knife Roland. That Wharncliffe blade just dresses up everything and those bones though patched, are wonderful.

That Crossman is a substantial knife as well.

I bought the small Wharncliffe whittler from Charles Lamb, a real gentleman collector who died most unexpectedly a few months ago. Note in 'spine shot' how master Wharncliffe blade is stout, which is part of the original Wharncliffe design.

This just in today, I got it for a steal. Camillus 16 heavy jack. The comfortable handling, smooth and snappy action with rock solid blades and hefty equal end frame would make this an excellent jack knife to use. It has factory edges and appears unused though, so I will not be using or sharpening it. I like it pretty well.

Fished this one out of the bay the other day. I liked the bone on it and it came surprisingly sharp. Don't know its #. I think from the tang stamp is
1930-1940's. Thanks for looking.
