Great pic there youself. Great color. Really like the Essee, beautiful design and pallet. Also love the covers on that SAK too, those and the war bird nose art are my all time faves on those. Good show.![]()

Thanks very much my friend, really nice of you to say. I'm humbled and honored when I read comments like yours. It means a lot. I try to take pics that have interesting backgrounds and knives and that get people to stop and take a closer look, so I appreciate the feedback. That's success to me so thanks for the mention.![]()
It is not your camera. Any camera today can take exceptional photographs if you have set them up correctly.jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2011 8:03 pm I don't know if it's my camera, my camera settings, me or a little of all three but my pictures SUCK. I see 3F's pictures and the pictures 46, Willie, J2shoes and others take and think how professional they look. I'll bet that's it. Everyone has hired a professional photographer and is passing it off as their own work. Sneaky devils.![]()
That's great information, ME-2, would what you described work for the camera that's built into my laptop too, cuz it's the only camera I have?mangoeater2 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 7:15 pmIt is not your camera. Try aperture f5.6 to f8. set the shutter speed 125 or faster. Set the ISO to "Auto ISO" with the top ISO of about 3200. Set the camera to Aperture contfrol and take your picture. Make sure you squeeze the shutter and don't use any sudden movement which will cause camera shake.
This setup should remove the problem of camera shake.
I have attaced a photograph taken with these settings. I had to include FLASH as it is late at night here.
Composure is your next hurdle.
I never was very good at geography! But I am good at recognizing beautiful bone and blade and that one is. Great knife!Ivoryman wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 3:32 am Thanks doglegg, appreciate the kind words, and only mention it for acuracy, but no lake, it's Sound. What you're looking at was all under water 4-5 hours before at high tide, the drift wood is from all over the world, whales and orcas, giant octopus, six gill Sharks in there. Nothing like Lake Washington, but both big bodies of water so I could see confusing the two. Thanks again.
CCC BOMB! Big boom. big, big, booooooooooooommmm.
The bone is amazing if its bone, looks different from every angle, brown, to green, and in between.
IvoryMan, RoseCraft states the Nolichucky Jack has Vintage Moss Brown (color) Bone. All their bone handled knives have been bovine prior. However, the bone used on this one is unique, with better grain. I am not a bone expert, but perhaps the cut is why it looks better.Ivoryman wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 3:32 am Thanks doglegg, appreciate the kind words, and only mention it for acuracy, but no lake, it's Sound. For anyone interested, I will have these back in stock very soon. Some new patterns are coming out over the next 2-3 months also.
I am not familiar with phone and ipad cameras but I have just had a look at my camera and find that a good combination would be Photo, flash and, with my camera, don't use the macro mode. I know that there are some professional features where you can set up the parameters as described above, but I could not find them. I have attached a photo taken with my phone for comparison. I am really impressed with my phone's camera.Madmarco wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 7:59 pmThat's great information, ME-2, would what you described work for the camera that's built into my laptop too, cuz it's the only camera I have?mangoeater2 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 7:15 pmIt is not your camera.
