It is not your camera. Any camera today can take exceptional photographs if you have set them up correctly.

Try aperture f5.6 to f8. set the shutter speed 125 or faster. Set the ISO to "Auto ISO" with the top ISO of about 3200. Set the camera to Aperture contfrol and take your picture. Make sure you squeeze the shutter and don't use any sudden movement which will cause camera shake.

This setup should remove the problem of camera shake.

I have attaced a photograph taken with these settings. I had to include FLASH as it is late at night here.

Composure is your next hurdle.

I never was very good at geography! But I am good at recognizing beautiful bone and blade and that one is. Great knife!

IvoryMan, RoseCraft states the Nolichucky Jack has Vintage Moss Brown (color) Bone. All their bone handled knives have been bovine prior. However, the bone used on this one is unique, with better grain. I am not a bone expert, but perhaps the cut is why it looks better. It certainly is different from their other offerings.

For anyone interested, I will have these back in stock very soon. Some new patterns are coming out over the next 2-3 months also.

Ahhhhh, thank you again and for the info. What a beauty, still feel shock. Looked like bone, but no bone I'm familiar with. Great grain and fishers like African or exotic bone.Gotta say the bone is very impressive. Reminds me of camel or giraffe. The whole knife is well done. Action is butter, click is sweet, pull and snap, great. I have an AG Russell from a few years ago, I had considered them pretty much top end from this country. This knife is better. I know current AG Rs are better too, but you get the idea. They are still getting better and they blow away what they were putting out 8- 10 years ago.thanks again, what a knife. Wow.

I am not familiar with phone and ipad cameras but I have just had a look at my camera and find that a good combination would be Photo, flash and, with my camera, don't use the macro mode. I know that there are some professional features where you can set up the parameters as described above, but I could not find them. I have attached a photo taken with my phone for comparison. I am really impressed with my phone's camera.

Your camera certainly does take great shots, and I've heard and seen that often from other phone owners, what great pictures their phone's camera takes.
Maybe I'll tinker around with the settings, see how that goes.
