Nice MrB! You are gonna have to build a west wing on to your ranch just to house them Muskrats before long.

Thanks for the comments on my trapper, much appreciated. ::tu::

Dave, muskrats are one of my favorite patterns, you always seem to find the good ones. Great pattern to stockpile!!!

Nice knives being found and posted!

Steve, your copperhead is nice! I like the looks of the copperhead bolster and how they feel in the pocket. I fidget with a knife when it's in my pocket and don't like feeling the sharp edge of the closed blade tang. The copperhead bolster does a nice job of covering the edge and making it smooth. I don't carry a copperhead like yours, but do carry a copperlock frequently.

Tom, very nice Tested Trapper!

MrBlister, nice additions to your den of muskrats.

Thanks Jerry. I like them for the same reason and they are sized right there in the sweet spot for me. I don't understand why the makers don't/didn't hit the sharp edges with a wheel to break them. Added cost I suppose but was there maybe another reason?

Steve, I like the Case Bros. series too - nice knife. This one came yesterday, one of my favorite Case patterns, the 18 Medium Stockman - from 1980. OH

Dogg, I personally was liking the Case knife pickup. Saw it today and was working so I didn't get a chance to look at my books. Not sure it'll be in the books that I have though.I really thought the blade was cool and thought it too would make a great skinning knife.
Hope you repost it so maybe you get answers to your questions.
I picked up a thinner blade, not sure what to call it, CASE XX paring knife from Scott a while back. Blade is about 6 inches long. No model number that I can see. That is my go-to all-purpose knife in the kitchen for sure. Excellent steel and hold a great edge.
The blade on the knife you posted it was really cool. If the price tag is what you paid for it I'll take that all day long. I only have the experience with this particular one but if the one I have is any indication of the quality of Case kitchen and butcher knives, I will fill the kitchen drawer for sure.
Here is mine...
Nice pickups everyone.
Jerry

Jerry, I've got a question. How long is the knife in the photo? Almost could be a small filet knife ::shrug:: ? I've got in the habit lookin' through the piles of "kitchen type" knives at the junk stores, you never know what you'll find.

Phillip, she has a 6 inch blade and finger grooves. You may be on to something. Fish or veggie, cuts the heck out of anything in its path.

Have you "beverage" drinkers seen these? I ordered one in Kirinite today, hopefully before it went on back order.
