Found this one in Muscatine Iowa about 40 years ago.

Got a little blue Mammoth tusk here, which is already rare, and the EZO bare head spear courtesy of mr. Tim Britton. Check out his website full of eye candy if you're interested. Does great work.

Found this IMPERIAL, PROV.R.I. yesterday in Pocomoke City, MD. Won't brag on the price. Also stamped "U.S.A." Assuming it's G.I., no brass. Missing the bail but in otherwise nice condition. J.O'.

Here are 4 'Brassies". Clockwise:1) CATT. 2) WARDLOW, Walden, N.Y, single blade. 3-4) Two ROBESON Shuredge 02227's. I seem to recall having a NEW YORK KNIFE "Hammer Brand" with "Goldine" stamped very small on the handle, their name for the alloy. Love E.O.'s J.O'.

A few out for lube and check and some EZOs were in the mix. Threw them down for a pic.

A particularly nice selection of EZOs. My eyes were drawn to the jigging of the 3rd from the right.

Two well-used Utica-made Klein coping knives, one with a brass linerlock, the other an older one without. At one point, both were sold concurrently.
The non-locking one is a 1988, the locking one is a "BB"--guessing it's the newer of the pair.

I got the Z from a good friend of mine who used it for many years in the coal mines. The BB came from a local flea market for like five bucks around the same time as I got my first. The mines issued these almost as often as the hawkbills.

I really like this pattern. Slim, compact, light, and tough. I can also easily use both of them with heavy work gloves.

Klein had a Chinese company copy these and cancelled their contract with Utica in 2021. Utica still makes the hawkbill and TL29 for Proto (alongside lockbacks and two versions of the Multimaster tool), but Proto doesn't have a version of the coping EO.
