Nice score Joe! ::tu:: And the Barlow on the page before is also a real winner! Congrats on the nice finds my friend! ::handshake:: ::tu::

If I ever win the lottery I'm coming to visit you. We'll drive the Traktor, drink some cold Ice Tea on the porch, check out them beautiful Turkeys and I might even go to church with ya. ::nod:: ::handshake:: ::super_happy::

Don't worry though, my chances of winning the lottery here are 1 to 40,000,000. ::doh:: So your probably pretty safe.

::hmm:: Unless you would like for me to go to church with ya. Then you can pray for me to win the lottery soon. ::shrug::
Well if I win I'll send you a ticket all expenses paid, but don't hold your breath cause I ain't bought a ticket in quite some time. ::handshake::
Good deal Buddy! ::handshake:: ::super_happy:: ::nod::

This is one of those patterns that never really called out to me; but, when I saw the stag handle on this 1981 NKCA equal end cigar (I don't know the pattern number) I had to have it. At 4¼" closed it's bigger than I normally prefer, but the bigger size does allow for more stag surface area. :D As big as it is, at least it only has a single spring instead of two, which would have made it too thick and heavy.

Right after I bought this knife I started seeing a lot of the same model popping up for sale on eBay (although none of the others I've seen have gnarly stag like this one). Shouldn't be too surprising, though, since apparently they made 12,000 of this model...mine is number 02465.

Snagged another NKCA Equal End Cigar with stag handle. A lot of these are showing up for sale recently with a great variety of stag...some going for close to or over $100. I paid $48 for this one and I think it has some of the nicer stag handles. The NKCA shield has been replaced with a reverse cameo shield that appears to be some kind of synthetic/plastic material. I bought this knife because of the stag, but even though the unusual shield may be why it sold for so low compared to all the others, it only makes it more unique IMO.

::paranoid:: Dose this count as a Queen? ::shrug:: It was made in the same factory in Titusville.. ::hmm:: Maybe by the same workers that later made Queen knives... Like my Mother's relatives... ::hmm:: She was born and raised in Titusville.

I just got this 9 1/2 inch #95 Queen Made In USA knife. Is this real winter bottom bone?

Very nice example Jack!

Looking at him from here, I'd say it's the delerin winterbottom; that coloring that matches the ones i've handled. Genuine winterbottom has more carmel shades to it, and the blacking/groving is different.
It doesn't take anything away from Him; I love both the real and fake winterbottom.

Jacknifeben, I'll say amen to Willy's appraisal. Your knife handle is imitation Winterbottom made of Delrin. The imitation Winterbottom is a lot tougher than the real Winterbottom bone. Would be a great user or a safe queen. :)
That's a fine knife!

Just picked up a Queen City 85th anniversary Barlow from 2007. It's got a fun little peep viewer in the end. I was hoping it would be a picture from a French postcard, but it was a picture of a bunch of knife makers instead.
