This one showed up in my mailbox yesterday. It's a gift from "Doglegg". The figure on the shield looks familiar but there are no tang stamps. Possibly (probably) made by Paki Stan or his Chinese cousin. Who ever made it and where ever it's from, it's appreciated Floyd.

You are most welcome Jerry. ::handshake::

Fished this little KeenKutter out of the bay the other day. Not a functionally great example but will feel at home with its cousins. Blades have to be closed in a certain order or they rub.

Not a true Camillus clone but indeed a 72 variation. A contract Camillus made for Sears.

Wish we had more American knives for sale over here in Germany. ::pray:: Don't often find what pleases the eye & if you do, you can be sure it pleases a lot of other eyes as well so it won't go for a fair price. Ok enough complaining, sorry, great knife. ::handshake::

I just bought this Camillus 72 variation. It's a Hollinger Fremont Ohio, 3 blade "whittler" and it has gimped liners. I can't wait to receive this one. I'll give it the once over, but it looks like it's in very good condition. When I receive it, I'll post my pictures in the appropriate location(s). These are the seller's pictures.

Wow Skip, you have to be excited about that one. I've only seen 2 Hollinger, Fremont 72 clones and you have both of them. Congratulation on a great pick up. Butter and Molasses handles, gimped back springs, that is a fancy one. Great score. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu:: ::tu::

I realize this electronic hate is your schtick and you enjoy it but for me, this electronic stuff is the reason I had a job for all my working life. God bless technology.

When you do that, do you do any of the designing or do you take the rough drawings and turn them into something the construction folks can use?

......jerry, it's usually working from sketches, but occasionally I get to do a little "designing"-it doesn't matter to me as long as I've got a pencil in my hand!!-my latest "tech" crisis-the little lighted magnifier you sent me a long time ago has quit on me and I'm still trying to find batteries for it!!!............ ::shrug:: .....................

Don't bother. It's cheaper to just buy a new one. Was it this kind?

Ok, time to get back on point. Today, I received this Camillus 72 variation. My second HOLLINGER FREMONT OHIO, 3 blade, "whittler" pocket knife. It is very different from my other Hollinger Fremont knife (click here to view: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=62956#p747245 ) I really like the gimped liners on this knife. It didn't need any serious cleaning, but I gave it the once over. These are MY pictures.
