Picked up this Honk Falls Cattle knife 3 3/8" long ,with cocobolo wood handles at the Gator Knife show today.

Thanks guys,they are very hard to find in this condition. Richard, I believe the handles are cocobolo,the backside handle shows more color and grain.

One thing that always lifts my spirits is looking at the rare and beautiful knives that get posted here on aapk. Over the course of documenting honk falls knives I have identified six patterns of pearl knives so far. Some are mine. One was posted here by Scott and a couple from the museum. I thought it would be good to put them all together. Of course if anyone can add to them please do. Since I have a little brake from work I am going to work more on my little book/buyers guide. Don’t think I’ll ever have all the info I would like but I have enough to do it justice. Thanks for looking. Hope everyone stays well.

This guy is not in the best condition. It came off my great grandparents farm in the catskills not real far from Napanoch. Enjoyed the thread and the knives so figured I would share what I had.

I suspect a lot of old farms up there hold schrade, ulsters, napanochs and honk falls tucked away in attics etc. I suspect it got lots of use. Since nothing was ever thrown or wasted a broken blade meant you just used the other blades. Regardless it will always hold a special place in my collection since it was off the farm. The farm was long ago sold after being in the family over 100 years. So it's a nice reminder of days gone by...
