Was able to buy this Shapleigh B639 Moose Knife at an Antique Store in Arizona over the weekend. I would like to know who manufactured it. Schrade, Empire or another and approximately when it was made, I`m guessing 1920`s. High quality. Bone is perfect, knife still snaps. 4 1/4" long. It weighs 5 oz. Impressive to hold. I found this Shapleigh D98, 4 Blade Butter and Molasses Knife at an Arizona Antique Store yesterday. I think its a Keeper.

What the heck are those old St Louis knives doing out there in the desert? Thank You so much for the wonderful comments Gentlemen. Glad you enjoyed seeing these Old Knives. Sorry, cant give you info on where I picked these knives from. Apparently folks from the St. Louis area retired and moved out here to Arizona and brought their old knives with them. Now I have them. There are more. I`ll be hunting for them. Thanks Mike.

What is going on with the master blade ? The large scooped out area looks too even to be from the piece breaking off. I have not seen a master blade like this before.
