Awesome Hawkbill Harold ... I’ve kept my eye out for a Winchester Hawkbill for my Hawkbill collection but have never seen one - and that one even has an etch ...

The late Jim Sargent, in his American Premium Guide To Knives and Razors, included a very nice Winchester section in some of his earlier editions. I do not know which ones, but I have one or two that have a Winchester section.

The book's covers plainly state the brands included.

Given the books were published by Jim, I assume the knives he pictured were correct.

I do not recall whose Winchester collection he used, but it was impressive.

I know a man here in town that owns Napanoch, Winchester and Keen Kutter 1920 pattern folding hunters, all in mint condition. He also has a hefty Winchester ebony handled electrician's knife in mint condition.

Given his current state of health, I suspect his two sons will be faced with selling their Dad's stuff in the near future.

He is an interesting man and a veritable wealth of cutlery information.

Charlie, I think it is Jims 3rd edition. I have all of jims books less one of the earliest. Jim gave me some books I was missing. Great man.

Very nice, Harold, looks hardly used! Sargent's 5th has a brief section on Winchesters. The 4th says it does on the cover, but I can't find it in the book anywhere?

From what I can tell from looking at the book covers on Google, Editions 1 through 5 list Winchester as being included.

I guess we can omit the 5th Edition, based on the above.

Here's a still intact whittler that I hope is a for real Winchester. 3 5/16". Celluloid covers.
No half stops. All walk and talk and no wobble. Just like we like 'em.

Nice whittler Joe ... Looks real to me and I have very similar faux horn celluloid handles on my Winchester Jr Stock Whittler.. Be good to check the model # against the known Winchester model #s - not sure but maybe the Price/Zalesky guide may have the Winchester patterns listed...

Picked up this little Winchester Pearl 2377 at the antique store today. Has Winchester over Trade Mark over Made in USA on main. Has Winchester on Pen blade. Has Winchester etched on main. Pearl has no chips or cracks. Beatiful color. Wish I could photograph the fire. Blades need a little cleaning. Happy with this little one. Thanks for looking.

Received in the mail today from Knifeaholic this little Pearl Senator 2306. Liking this little one!
