Nice old toe Carl.I suspect it was made by Clay Cutlery if it is over 4 1/4" closed.They had the wide tang and kick on their pen blades.

Yes you are correct, after a lot of research it was indeed by Clay Cutlery. I believe they took over the Platts factory after Platts closed it.

I had posted this knife quite some time ago in the Marbles thread. It’s a relic but shows Marbles did make a toe.

Marbles didn't make a toe,Case Brothers made it for them.Nice old survivor.many counterfeit one's floating around.

Thanks. I have read that Case Bros made the Toe for Marbles. Likely the case ( no pun intended). Too bad this one is in such rough shape but they’re how you find em not how you would want to find em. It’s unlikely I will ever find or even see another.
