An Old Timer 7-OT that has the hardest damn blade I have ever seen on a Schrade. It is an absolute bear to get an edge on.


Here's a virtually brand new Gerber that I found on the road in it's little sheath. I don't know if it is US or Chinese as I don't keep up with Gerber stuff much.


A Gerber Fairbairn/Applegate folding fighter, one of the older ones I bought in the late 90's.


And last but not least, my three Germans. Two Pumas and and a "hard head" (Hartkopf). The HartKopf is one SMOOTH operating knife.

Those Schrade 510T are built like a tank.

One safe hard worker and EZ in the pocket.

I am amaised that more here do not have one for EDC.

Hey Phil--------the S&M is ,4 1/2 inches closed,and has, the 420 Steel blades, _________same size as the GEC,#23 Pioneer pattern

And how about the Wharncliffe blade, on this little GEC Lockback, 3 7/8 inch,with the 1095 steel

This is a great thread that won't quit. I bought an Imperial Backpacker at the antique mall the other day. It was a little dirty but cleaned up it looks brand new again. Not exactly what I would have carried backpacking though.

Here's a few from my collection:

First a pair of Browning USA lockbacks;one a double lockback.
Second is a group of 3 Puma lockbacks.
Third is a group of 5 Khyber l.b.'s;3 are different sizes of the same pattern with Micarta scales.
Fourth is a pair of Benchmade Rolox l.b.'s;arguably the worst design ever made.If you apply pressure while using your small finger triggers the lock and the blade slides back catching your skin between the thumb and index finger.Don't ask how I know lol
Fifth is a Boker 2000;a beautiful knife I bought recently for $30.
Sixth is a Bowen Baby Bullet(R1306).
Seventh is a G96 Jet-Aer model 806;a tiny lockback.
Eighth is a G96 folding fillet knife(it's big enough to be).
Ninth is a Buck 186 Titan;their first titanium handled knife that comes apart for cleaning.The tool for taking it apart is on a ring attached to the other side.This side shows the pocket clip(which is removeable as well using shorter screws supplied with the knife).
Tenth is a Buck 510 folder.
