Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............Pretty Clasp

This very smart looking knife is on its way to OZ. It has been beautifully customised by the Master (HW), and in my mind it is sensational.
The covers are YELLOW Raffir Stripe fitted to a Schrade Clasp frame.
After i had used the natural handle materials it is pleasing to the eye so see such a striking material as this. It is really accentuated on the large Clasp. Suffice to say i am extremely happy with this piece.
Tony.

Yes Kj. That's a later tang stamp as well 80's I believe.
Nah. The last year they pinned the handles on the 72s was 1976.

You're right Jerryd. I was thinking of the wood handle #5.

Greg: Somehow I've got to get your mail delivery person transferred to my route.
Schradenut: You used the correct word, "sensational." Personally, I would frame it and hang it on the wall.

Bob Loveless designed A.G.Russell Gent's knife: i have looked at the AGR catalog pictures of this knife for a few years and have wanted one but felt that the $225 price was rather high. This unused AGR Loveless design Gent's knife with pearl handles showed up on ebay with a opening bid of just over half the AGR price. As with many auctions with a high opening bid there was only 1 bidder, me.

Now that is a handsome knife, perfect for church going or formal occasions. Your patience in acquiring it definitely paid off.

Thanks QS. Here is another 'just arrived', a 4 1/4" Lutters 6 blade Utility, unused and in perfect condition except for handle cracks at both ends, both sides.
I have a few of these older red fiber handled Utilities including some early Victorinox marked with military symbol. This is the only one with handle cracks and i think these red handles are more recent than those that do not have any cracks.
Don't know the age here; could be pre WW II or just a little after.

Just pulled the trigger on this one from flea bay.
I know it's a Schrade Walden but does anyone have any idea about pattern number and handle material? I'm thinking bone but don't know for sure.
Picture here was captured from listing. I'll post better pics when received.

EDIT - I think I just found the pattern number: 242(3) anywhere from 1946 to 1950. What say ye?

Received this in the mail today, it's a fixed blade. That fits your watch pocket, so it's a pocket knife. A miniature White Hunter by Puma. The Toothpick is a Carl Schliper Eye Brand 3 1/8" ,the small Toothpicks are one of my favorite patterns to carry. Just love miniature knives though. Adog

Yesterday I received 3 small Buck knives from member XX Case XX. When you trade with him you can expect a well protected package!
A properly sized heavy cardboard box contained an old orange and black Case box that some how contained 3 Buck boxes, wherein were the 3 little Buck knives, a Companion and 2 Lancers. Each layer was protected with plenty of Styrofoam peanuts, and several other types of cushioning material.
The knives all appear to be unsharpened and are all USA made!
Thanks, Mike!

You are correct, it's an early walden 242 as indicated by the stamp on both blades. I have one like it, nice knife.
