Thanks Tom and Smitty.
Tom, those are cut co era schrades so the pattern is 71083 3/4. They’re 2 3/4” long. The pattern number was later changed to 710 in the walden era and there were also old timer and uncle henry variants later on.

Thanks for the Info Paul!

Appreciate it!
2 3/4" is a great size!

Oh wow Tom! Amazing set buddy!
Mr. Anonymous did you a good one, it's something special to complete a set; doesn't happen often with us "collectors"...

Hi Willy,
Thanks for your comment!

Appreciate it Buddy!

I got lucky picking up this set of three matching Trappers. Couldn't have done it without the help of a generous AAPK member.
I read here a couple years ago that there are "Collectors" & "Accumulators". As a "Greenhorn" I didn't really understand what the difference was at the time. I understand it now and I would have to put myself in the "Accumulator" catagory. Due to the lack of variety & avalability of "Traditional American Folders" over here, I have to grab whatever shows up for sale. If I tried to "Collect" some certain brand & pattern (Like lets just say, the Camillus 72 for example.) I would surely lose interest in pocket knives very quickly because it's just not possible over here in "Good Ol' Germany". I'm not complaining here. Just stating how it is. I'm ok with being an "Accumulator" although at times I wish I could really "Collect" some folders specifically. That would be cool to have a "Collection" of some specific folders. But for now, I'll just continue to grab whatever shows up for sale and catches my eyes.

This is my first ever real "set" of Case knives so I'm pretty stoked about them!
They look great together. You're making me want to complete a "set" now, even though deciding on a set to complete wouldn't be easy!

Thanks Dan!

Well Trappers do work really well for small "sets" because they come in three sizes. Unlike most patterns.

My set would be patterns with the same covers. Would be nice if I could find 18, 20, 37, and 131 in the same set!

As in Stockman, Peanut, Jr. Sodbuster & Canoe?

Yellow composition handles in those patterns shouldn't be too hard to find. Or black Delrin.

Bones could be a bit harder to find a set of 4 unless you had enough money to buy em all at once.

You could post a "Want ad" or get in touch with some of the AAPK stores and let em know what you are looking for, as they sometimes buy whole collections of knives. Just a thought.

I wouldn't have the cash for 4 knives at one time.
I still need to get something from 2001 to finish my "Family Set".

It's a motley crew of different patterns & handles so anything would work as long as it's from 2001. I already have the years 1972, 1975, 2003 & 2007. One more in my son's birth year & it's completed.

Yes indeed! They can all be had in crimson peach seed jigged bone, which would leave only three for me to find. Case doesn't seem to presently offer the Canoe in yellow Delrin. Why, I don't know.
You'll get yourself a 2001 eventually, maybe with my help.
