Thanks for the good words Cal and bdev...the Trapper was made in 2010 and the Conductor in 2011.
A gentleman had a pair of the Conductors for trade and I asked that he give me a heads up if he wanted to sell them. When they went up for sale I found out the day after. Chris...do yourself a favor and try an Oso Sweet. Second best Kershaw EDC with Speedsafe, IMO (after the Leek).

New (well new to me and found in the mail box) Spratt's dog grooming knife.

Long time lurker, first time posting.

My latest pick up from the po box- unknown maker, somewhat trashed, bone covered liner lock.
first three pics are seller images, next three after a small cleanup. Anyone one have a clue as to what it is and who made it? Someone loved this knife at one point in time, it looked lonely with no bids so I took a chance and adopted it.

Welcome in out of the shadows. Looks like the knife found a good home. The first picture looked somewhat, to me anyway, like it could be a Robeson with the coloring and jigging. That picture looks like it has Robeson's reddish Delrin scales but that's just a guess. Maybe someone will see this that actually knows. ___Dave

Went for some heavy hardware and this Lon Humphrey Brute arrived in the mail 2 days ago. Spent two months of knife budget on this one and now that I have it in hand I'm quite pleased with my decision. 9.5" oal with a 1095 hand forged blade and curly maple handles. It's big ole workhorse looking knife and should make a good camping companion. Might be a bit large for field chores on whitetails but would be real handy for skinning and quartering an elk if ever get back out west again, plus a guy might have half a chance of fighting off a bear with one of these in hand.
The sheath that came with the knife is very high quality and functional but I think I'm gonna play with some dye and attempt to get the color closer to a match to the maple scales. Thanks for looking.

any closer guess would have told me: "6109L Kinsfolk. produced between 1940-1964" ... Thank You! First Robeson I've owned and will enjoy it as it was intended. Appreciate the welcome heres from all.

Long sought after #26 Little Carver with a Wharn and Frontier Bone. Suddenly they are hard to find, popular, and pricey. Hate that. Oh well, that's what you have to deal with these days. In hand the color reminds me of some mineralized Walrus Teeth and the Hippo tooth in the pics.

Congrats on a difficult find, I-Man. It looks like the frontier bone of that run is very similar to the oily creek bone GEC has been using lately (apparently there's another oily creek SFO coming on the new run of 66s). It's a beautiful finish IMO. Well-struck!

I believe I sold that to you....glad you like it. Did you get in on the GEC #25 SFO from Collector Knives...talk about an expensive knife in the secondary market...I'll bet people will be unloading them like what happened with the #15 caplifters when the new Beer Scout was released. I just noticed that GEC finally released their 2016 production totals...they released more than 3900 Beer Scouts...wonder what happened to small production runs?
