Here are a few more night time shots I just took an hour ago. Haven't seen these double deckers there yet before tonight. Something different. ::tu::

Picked up a 6026W tender to go with the post-war 2055 A.T.S.F. Hudson and it whistles perfectly. The second whistle is coming from the Girard train station.

Just a #ThreeRailThursday train running short. πŸš‚

Excellent! What are you using for power on your layout? An old school postwar KW or ZW transformer, or one of the more modern units? I have a little of both sitting in boxes (somewhere), I have 2 postwar KW transformers and also a couple of the powerhouse bricks & a remote control that from a first gen TMCC system.

Is that a 2065 I see on the right with the feedwater tank? I also have a 2065 (somewhere...)

Yep, that's a NYC 2056, the one in the video is an ATSF 2055. I use multiple conventional transformers, a Type R and an RW (both 110 Watts) with a little newer 50 Watt powering the trolley. I also have a couple KW's in storage and I think they're 90 Watts. I need to do some accessory rewiring to clean things up, as well as laying down a rail bed. There's always more to tinker with. πŸ˜‰

I find it to be relaxing . . . as long as everything is cooperating.

Cool John , I'll have to watch your videos. We used to set up and race HO cars a lot when I was ... well a long time ago.

Thanks, Lyle. ::handshake:: My dad had some slot cars when I was a kid, I think they're still at the farm someplace.

Ahh - the R & RW, I forgot about that one. The KW is actually 190 watts, and it can do 2 separate tracks.

My dad (we) had a slot car track when I was a kid also. I bet those old slot cars you have would be collectable John. ::nod:: ::super_happy::

Info for anyone who has been checking out my weekly pictures from the train station in GemΓΌnden am Main. My daughter Jazlin has a 4 day weekend due to a Holiday on the first so we'll be taking her to the train station on Tuesday evening. I'm curious if I'll see anything different than on the weekends. ::shrug::
We shall see. ::tu::

Pretty sure this video confirms my suspicions that the tender for C&O 490, currently housed in the B&O Railroad Museum, was made out of a passenger car.

Not much happening at the train station last evening. Same red colored trains as in the weeks before. And then a yellow maintenance train of some sort went rushing through but it was moving so fast that I couldn't get any good pictures of it. :|

The track thing sounds good. ::nod:: It had a large piece of heavy equipment on it. ::nod::

And I was watching a TV program last evening about a lokomotive factory in Germany. If anyone has ever wondered what a new E-Lok costs, those built here cost between 3 & 4.5 million €. ::nod:: Depending on the extras. ::tu:: Was an interesting film. Lot of hand work, steel & welding. ::nod:: I believe the factory was in or near Munich.

Witch brings me to another off topic comment about Munich. They are going to have a professionel football team in the European League of Football next year and guess what the name of the team is.
::nod:: ::super_happy:: "Munich Ravens" ::groove:: ::super_happy::

I have a strong influence on the way things are run around here.

very cool guys love all the pictures ::tu::
man growing up with a train yard about 100 feet from my house at the end of my block i have loved trains since i was born my mother told me she used to take me down to end of street in a stroller when i was a baby because i loved to watch the trains go by , years ago there were like 50 tracks in that yard then reduced to 18 around 1960's sometime then kept getting smaller now there are like 4 tracks and the rest was bought out by someone and turned into a loading yard where they load shipping containers on and off trains pretty cool to watch well anyways we have all sorts of trains roll through the yard like everyday at 11am and 9-11pm Amtrac passenger train rolls through , whenever they have a circus in town trains roll through this yard i have seen soo many cool trains my cousin told me it was not illegal to photograph trains i thought for sure there were some sort of regulations or laws from allowing you to take pics of trains but i find out no laws so i decided i going start taking pics of some unique trains you dont see much like circus trains steamers passenger etc.. also got started with model trains at very young age when i was 5 my older cousin bought everyone Lionel train sets for Christmas well i still have that set it is 45 years old and works great . well here is a few pics of some trains that were sitting at end of my block, the Katy was just sitting there at end of my block one day so i snapped few pics and the NS and American were sitting there that day also , one thing i have noticed is you dont see caboose's much anymore anyone know why ?
