Maybe its just where you live, I like both. Dukes mayo on a BLT and Miracle Whip in pasta salad.

How about that, Boys? Dukes is being used in Northern California on BLTs, may be hope for 'em yet . Y'all need to send Polosi, Boxer, Waters and Feinstein a big jar of Dukes, might change their outlook on life.

Hey Monte! last night I got a little carried away, I saw northern California instead of North Carolina, please forgive me, Sir. A good lesson here for the ol' man is still "Look before you leap" or "measure twice cut once"!
I've enjoyed the Dukes/Miricale Whip controversy for several years , all great fun.

A Schrade 8 OT re-handled in "American Stag" by a friend of his and up and coming knife maker Evan Nicolaides (ESYNX on the Big Forum) of Sarasota FL. It's a Jim Dandy. That young man has a future. For the record, I've been a Miracle Whip only man all my life until I came here and heard of this Duke's stuff. I gave it a try, and dadgum that was good stuff. Now I can't hardly eat the Miracle Whip.

To put all he hee-haw'in aside for a moment, I've eaten Mayonnaise on and off over the years. Never by choice. Sometimes because that was the only thing available. Sometimes because it was blended into a dish that I liked in spite of the Mayo in it. If given a choice, I'll always make it Miracle Whip.

Evan does some pretty amazing things with cutlery, for sure.

He did a bang-up job fitting that OT shield, it looks like a factory job, just way more elegant.

That's a beauty! Evan makes amazing custom knives, he even does hand checkering of ivory and bone. He really is a true craftsman. I'd like to say that I'm the secret to his success, but all I did was give him some tips early on. You either got it or you don't, and he sure "has it".

Miracle Whip is salad dressing. It ain't mayonnaise like Dukes.
