Thank you. You’re absolutely right about the water buffalo horn. I suppose if they were carried & used a lot, they would hold up very well. I won’t find out. Looking doesn’t seem to hurt them at all.

I'm just catching up on this thread. So very many fine knives.

geocash, those two German buffalo horn knives are fine examples. I am assuming that the Henckels is also Buffalo Horn. Selfishly, I am glad that not too large number of people collect German knives. They leave more for us.

Great shots being posted here! I miss being able to take those long walks with The Magnificent Muffin-Head when I'd shoot most of my photos. We'll be getting back out there sooner or later.

Here's another from the archive just for fun...

Lovely photo squatch. If you are going to be off the trail for a while, perhaps you could involve The Mighty Muffin-Head in some indoor knife shots.

Fantastic archival photo, Charlie! ::tu:: I agree with Garry; indoor knife photography with the Muffin Head would be great.

The photos on this page are outstanding. Which is actually pretty normal for this thread. My favorites are Ivoryman's first Kutmaster shot, and Charlie's autumn composition.
