Very nice QS. I love that particular shield. Of the Boker canoes I have only one has that shield.

As you know the Tree Brand label is supposed to only be used for Soligen-made knives. I don't know what determines whether or not a shield is applied. On any of your nonshielded Bokers, are they from Soligen or elsewhere?

I have a few Boker knives but only two or three canoes. Of those these two are Tree Brand Solengen made. One has the shield like yours and the other has the round shield.

Tim, I'm not sure if the shield signifies anything in particular but since it has come up in this conversation I'll be looking for an answer. A new research subject.

Here is what I've been able to find out about Boker shields so far. Once I looked at the shields on your knife and mine I realized that they were not the same but similar. After looking around and asking some questions I found out that our shields are not indicators of a special or limited edition, just one of the many shields used by Boker. The only Boker shield that I have found so far that indicates a special edition is the Great American Story series shields. I'll keep looking and learning.

I couldn't do that with a computerized Dremel tool! My oldest son is the exotic pumpkin carver.
