All About Pocket Knives

Picked these 2 up at the Wind Gap, PA show yesterday. First if the Wolfertz pruner, great snap, good blade, nice wood handles, maybe ebony or maybe cocobolo. Got this from Sauconian from AAPK. Had a nice chat with him. Next up is a Robeson sleeveboard, 662102, with really nice jigged bone handles. Happy to find this one. Of course, nether of these was on the list going in. Did not find a copperhead I wanted.

Went to the Monroe swap meet this morning with about 10,000 other people.Found a great old KA-BAR folding hunter with a lot of wear and a small chip on the pile side near the center rivet for $15.Oiled it;put an edge on it,and it is currently residing in my left pocket.
Two advertising knives:one single blade USA(probably Colonial)and a Colonial 2 blade serpentine both with old Detroit business names.$5 for both of them.
Another advertising knife(Lake Motor Freight Lines)that looks like a Camillus serpentine with a California clip blade stamped,"Trade Mark SAMCO Nashville" Anyone ever heard the name before? A new one on me.$5
Also a pearl handled butter knife marked Ovington Brothers Brooklyn which was a company that specialized in fine china and kitchen cutlery around 1900.$2.

Steve I figured you had every Copperhead they made. Tell me what it is you don't have.

I was on a roll there for a while Greg. Still need 2 or 3 to fill in the 70's, red bone preferably. Just not in a hurry to do it.

That's one of my favorite patterns Steve. I sold most of my 70's when I decided to focus on on XX and older. But I couldn't part with my 79 stag and a 73 red bone that is particularly beautiful.

You have been on a roll yourself Greg. Some really sweet knives!

Steve, I have a 622102. I wonder what the difference is? Mine is 3 11/16".

Eagle bought seconds and restamped them eagle. Hope this helps.

Ken, between 1875 and 1943 a guy named George Creutzberg bought seconds and wholesale knives from various companies including New York Knife company and restamped them with his company name to resell. I believe he dealt with only good quality knives and they have become collectible on their own. He was out of Phil. Pa.___Dave

I've got a samco K7K my wife bought it severl years ago at a yard sale for a quarter. It has a man's name on it. Sanders mfg has been in business for over ninety years . They are listed in Goins second edition.

These just arrived....anybody know the stamp on the top knife? Kinda looks like WVW and has 3 distinct notches on spine...

Hey Scott, could this be the mark on the big knife? Max Weyersberg, WMW, Solingen

These two arrived today. Queen #7 Senator pen (circa 1945-55) and a Queen City #19 Trapper(SFO Collectorknives). The trapper is 1095 steel.
