My uncle gave me this NRA imperial Ireland jack today, very nice of him
In the mail was this RR swing guard. I wanted to try out the pattern, see if I liked it enough to buy a premium usa made one. While it does not quite impress me (it's a little small), I think it told me what I need to know in that I would really like a larger sized american made swing guard knife. It will be an excellent dirty job knife.

The little Craftsman is nice but even nicer in bone if you ever find one.

Yeah the blades are pretty good for its age. You should be able to get a decent amount out of it. Exactly how much I'm not sure.

Went downtown to get some watch batteries and stopped at one of the antique shops. Found this little gem with the strop that has a built-in drawer for the razor which may or may not be original. Horn handles with circular designs cut into them and stamped,"WOLF ACIER FONDU" which translates as cast steel. The only Wolf I could come up with should have a crown over the name(but may have been rubbed off by sharpening)is for a John Shepherd of Holles Croft in BRL's listing of 18th century razor manufacturers. The shape of the handle seems to indicate that time period. I will post it in the razor forum in the hope that Owd Wullie will see it. Paid $19.50 for it with the strop.Not bad for a razor that is likely 200 plus years old.

Found in mailbox. Only scrimshaw knife I own.

Hello, I just wanted to put this out there:

I have a Canal Street Ring Turn 'PROTOTYPE' made prior to 2006, with beautiful pristine 'stag bone' handles made in North Carolina facility.
Bolster is stamped "PROTOTYPE'

This knife is mint condition (no box as it was not in production yet)

I also have paperwork/documentation on this knife showing it was sent to the handle material supplier and was marked by Canal as 'prototype' This is most likely a 'one off' sent to the handle maker/supplier by Canal Street to create these handles.

Since it was still a prototype the blades are not stamped, adding to the scarcity of this knife!

As some of you know I collect ring turn knives. I would be willing to trade this beautiful, rare, mint Canal Street knife for either a really special vintage ring turn, or several ring turns for that matter.

If any of you have something in mind please send me an email or message with pictures of what you have in trade. (must be antique/vintage ring turn knives in great condition)

Picked this one up yesterday and it was in pretty sad shape.Didn't have a Boker TL-29 in my accumulation and it was only $3.Appears as though the tip of the blade broke off and someone re-ground it to a round shape for whatever reason. The screwdriver blade still had the original etch but was rusted and that was eliminated while cleaning.The stamping on the rear of the tang has the tree with the numbers 92 and 29 on either side of it.Is this the build date or a model number? Tang stamped Boker USA.Steel bolsters and some type of synthetic bone for handle material.
I polished out most of the grinder inflicted scratches in the blade and cleaned the rust off the rest of the knife and put an edge on it.Works great for cutting material using a straight edge much better than a pointed blade.Can also be used as a watch case opener which I have need for on occasion.

It is super clean and still shows etching on the main blade.

These just arrived....anybody know the stamp on the top knife? Kinda looks like WVW and has 3 distinct notches on spine...

I like the Schrade muskrat, I've got one that has been well used, they are great when doing the finishing touches to back straps and such!

I recently finished the next one in the series, "The Last Mile". Good read.

Too much of a process for me to do pics, or I'm computer illiterate. But, picked up my Amber Tribal Lock today at the PO. Turns out I got one with "Pilot Test Run" on the blade. Also, in another package I got my 2nd cut Stag Mini Muskrat. I'M lovin' both very much thanks to all the enablers stirrin' up the itches I just couldn't keep from scratchin'.........

User LB7 and a nice little walden 708 stainless. Blades have near perfect factory finish and factory edge There's tarnish on the bolsters and liners and some patina on the backspring, but I don't think the knife was ever used.

The mail brought me this Imperial [Prov. R.I.] 4 blade utility.

Been eyeball'n this one on feebay for 3 months. Had a way to high BIN price even for a minty. Sent a message to seller inquiring if they had a bottom dollar. The made me a 30% discount offer, and even that was really too high, but decided to pull the trigger since I didn't have a Walden version yet. Now I have 5 different examples of the 285UH. This one has the serial# on the center liner though, and not on the back liner like all the other UH folders I have.

Picked up a 125OT w/ sheath for cheap to go into my EDC selection. Pleasantly surprised to find it hasn't had a stone put to it yet and appears to have seen little use.

Finally arrived. I'm a happy guy.

This trio arrived Friday evening. The Colonial barlow is pretty much self explanatory, good steel, some patina, phony bolsters, great edc.

The utility knife is stamped Walden on the cap lifter but all other stamps ground off. The main blade is lightly over-stamped "Eagle Phila."
Can you shed and light on it?

The boot knife was cheap and cool, so I got it.
