I was able to squeeze it in the budget this week.

Glad to see you get that one; I am glad I decided not to take it. What a nice knife!

Just added this Schrade Barlow to my scrimshaw collection today. While not all scrimshaw is successful, I think this raccoon definitely is.

This was presented as an issue item to the German Navy. The only markings are on the blade: M F H in block letters and beneath those in smaller print INT. COMP. No other indications relating to Germany or anywhere else. It was shipped from Lithuania. Whatever its' provenance it is a very stout knife i.e. strong, solid, and tight from blade to handle to Marlin spike.

A 2 dot 78 Midnight pearl 92042B. If anybody has any knowledge of the volume produced of these I would like to hear it. I know they made a collectors pair but I haven't seen many regular knives. Sorry for the bad pick. It's raining here and I just threw it up on a drum and snapped a pic. The knife is actually real clean.

Fished this 4" Colonial Anvil out of the bay. Handles are good except for one small chunk out of the pile side. After a Quick Release treatment the snap is great. I'm happy with it. Unless I find a 3ΒΌ" Anvil Jack, I think I'm finished with the Anvils.

Here's what came today but it was overshadowed by my POS Roundtable box that I received from knifeslinger#81 (see the POS Roundtable sticky).
A Queen 1982 Stag Series 8480 Muskrat. Nice fat stag that's pretty even on both sides. The bolsters are a little bit off with each other. Two of them are slightly slanted which causes them not to line up when seen from above. Still a nice knife anyway.

Here's a nice little 3" Marshall Wells jack knife.
I hope it was made by New York Knife Co.
Any one have any thoughts?
Thanks for looking.

That's a sweet little knife Joe. Just love it when the bone takes on that warm pocket-worn 'glow'.
And as my sir name is 'Wells' I'd like to hear a bit more about 'Marshall Wells' ... I assume perhaps a Hardware Chain(?)

Sweet blade shape, somewhere between almost a wharn and barely a spear.

I don't know anything about how many were produced, but that's a good-looking knife, Kerry.

I don't have a clue why I bought these but I did and they're here now. All are assisted opening except the orange and tan Rough Riders. The little Meyerco has a "fire starter" rod stuck down in a scab on the pile side of the handle but I can't get a spark out of it.

I actually kind of like the black Rough Rider. I think it's the blade profile.
