Here's a Queen City #10 Heavy Jack. Well used but the price was right. Probably a wartime build since Queen used Steel liners and pins.

Bronze, that MOP is wonderful. Your knife was in great hands, as I suspected.

This Craftsman 9470 Stockman came yesterday. The handles look like Ulster. I cleaned it up some and after it hits the Lansky It'll be good enough for just about anybody's pocket. Taking into consideration several things, including the shield, It was probably made sometime between 1960-1973. Now I have one approximating the ones Dad carried.

This Diamond Edge came in the mail yesterday. The blades are tight with very good snap but the main blade has been re-shaped into a spey blade (I assume after being tipped) but other than that it's a keeper. :D

bdev & Scott. Thanks for noticing.

Scott, That is quite a haul. Really like that slim black Case at the bottom. Don't know whether the scales are bone or Delrin but either way she's a looker. ::tu::

Ivoryman, you've got yourself a beauty! ::tu::

Scott, you've been busy with those vintage Cases, I see!

IM, loving the bone on that 48. Doesn't the nail nick placement remind you a little of some pre-DFC Queens?

Thanks Quicksteel, Bomba, and Ken. The nail nick makes for good leverage, but it pinches open so I pinch and don't even use it really. And I agree the bone is great. Great colors and variation.

Joe, the color of the handles on your Ulster Jack look like the material that Schrade/Ulster used briefly before Delrin arrived. If so it would date to late 1950's to ~ 1961 ?.
However that 'stuff' usually shrinks and the handle slabs of yours have not so maybe it is an early Delrin with the same dye they had been using before Delrin.
