I’ve been checking this thread to see if there was a reply to your post, maybe try a stand online thread, it’s a very old and interesting knife.

Did a bit of research here on the forum concerning SABRE brand knives and waited for my prize to arrive.
It arrived today, nothing special but a solid cheap knife. Was halfway expecting a shell handled knife but the bolsters are solid but not NS. The "walk &talk" is good. The clip blade was difficult to open because the nail nick was almost covered by the pen blade. There was a patent number on the pen blade, 3,317,996. This number revealed this SABRE was made by Colonial. The knife hasn't been sharpened and should take a great edge as do most of the old Colonial knives.

We'll sharpen it and carry it a time or two and then maybe give it to an interested youngster.
