Thanks Bill. It's right at 3 1/2 inches closed. The Humpbacks are really nice patterns. There's a Whittler and a Half Whittler too.
This one is a little different. It's one of the Quality Test Run knives that were never sold by Case to the general public. I'm glad to own it but I don't know much more about these knives. Still learning.
Here's a pic with the certificate of authenticity. (click photo to rotate and enlarge)
Thanks.

This elegant knife came in today. A real sweetie.

Joe that is a real beauty! 06267 is one of my favorites - hard knife to find.
xXTestedXX, love that Pearl whittler! I have its cousin - Case Bradford. Mine has beautiful fiery pearl but it has a small chip at center rivet on the mark side. Hasn't been "cleaned". Not a new acquisition though, I've had it several years.

Thanks a lot Ken. I was never familiar with the knife until you posted your two.
I checked e-bay and there was one up for auction ..................
I sure like it.
BTW, beautiful pearl there!

Glad I could contribute to your delinquency!
I saw that auction but decided I didn't need another one, so didn't bid. Happy you were able to get it.

Dogg, that one is really spiffy. The teardrop and the spear blade just kinda set each other off. Tat smooth chestnut is about my favorite in the newer handles.

Thanx G-man

for me this is going to be a completely differant type of carry first smooth-bone other than my pocket worn bone knives, plain spear and wrap around sping with CASEXX on the tear.I am real happy with the fit and finnish for a new Case knife

A lot of nice knives being posted. Here are three whittlers I picked up at the blade show.
The gunstock is an 8387 Case Bradford and not a 8315 Tested as is on the label.
Thanks for looking .

FTD, would ii be possible to post more pictures that show the entire knife and non-blurry tangs?
From what I can see, it doesn't look like a Case USA stamp and there is not enough the handle shown for me to form an opinion.

Ferg that tang stamp appears to be a1994-99 long past the days of greenbone.

Yes 94-99. As is the case with a lot of trappers the dots are hodden by the bolster.

From the 90s, I agree with Greg. Squarish end shield also shows that.
CASE TESTED era is up for slight debate but 20' to 1940' or 50' s. Not many boxes still floating around from that era. They brought back putting tested double X on recent knives boxes and smetimws blades too I think. I'm not the best guy to ask on the newer Case knives

Ferg, usually when people speak of testedxx knives they ate talking about the 1920-40 era knives because it says testedxx on the tang stamp. Of course Case used that logo to tout their double testing of the bldes on knives from many eras as well as the ones they make today.

Here is a link to a good AAPK document that describes Case tang stamps.

Jerry you slipped in there while I was hunting and pecking.
I didn't know that they came in boxes back then. Do you have one?

Have some old pumpkin boxes but that is it. Go to knife lore forum and search "Knife Boxes". There are a few in that post pre TESTED that I saw. May be others in there As I did not look through the whole thread. ThEy seem hard to find but I don't really search them out either.

Thanks Jerry I'll check that out. Apparently they don't age well. I've never noticed any on eBay but I haven't searched for them either.

Here's a new arrival, 2015 mini sodbuster, CV , chestnut bone...loving this knife! The bone is really deeply colored and beautiful, the jigging is deep and even, snaps with authority, and the edge pops hairs out of the box. No hint of blade wobble either. Best 40 dollar knife I have bought in a while, thumbs up Case, keep up the good work
