Finally got around to taking some pics of a few i've accumulated. A little bit of everything, some higher end, some not. I don't think there are many duplicates, but there could be one or two. Last pic is of ones i've rehandled.

Mr.B -- For future reference, the easy way to tell the handles on that knife are composition is the shrinkage around the bolsters. Bone don't shrink. (Caveat: Delrin doesn't seem to shrink or if it does, it's not much. I don't recall seeing that happen. CMIIW)

Plus that black composition Camillus used in the '40s had a tendency to shrivel up like Mr. Willie after the shoutin's done. You're lucky the shrinkage on yours is just at the bolsters.

WB -- That's quite a pile of Scouts you have yourself there.

Thanks JR!
Jerry, most of what I have is pretty run of the mill. Although most are in pretty decent shape, a "pile" IMHO is a very fair description. I don't really consider myself a collector of the scout/camp/utility pattern, I just come across alot of 'em and can't ever seem to let any of 'em go. ::shrug:: If you wanna collect tang stamps, there isn't a better pattern to do it with. Virtually every knife co. made atleast one version of the utility. Not to mention the dozens, if not hundreds, of contract brands available. It's almost as bad as trying to collect Carpenter/Whittlers!! :D

NOOO! Don't even think that in my presence. I'm just about in the poor house now from my addiction to the 72s. (Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.)

Jerry, you're already in trouble! With those Scout 72's, you're already in crossover collectible territory! One step over the edge and you have to start adding scout/utilities to the mix! ::nod:: There's no hope for ya then, buddy!
