Probably the last GEC for a while...future purchases are gonna get that EXTREME VETTING I keep hearing about. Of course if they run some 2-blade 77 Barlows in the middle of summer that can easily change.

Thanks Colonel, I felt the same way when I unwrapped it today. Though it's funny - right now GEC has tooling for more Congress patterns than Case! I love the variations the 13s offer, so now I've got some choices when I want to get out the fancy stuff.

I will at least see if any of them become available after pre-orders are filled, but I'm not committing to anything. The frame is a bit of an in-betweener for me, I generally prefer the 4+" long trappers like the Case 54 or Queen 19. The blade selection is great, though, so I can probably be convinced.

I had this stuff in the mail basket when I got home. First model XX stag Trapper. Smooth amber camel bone slabs. Amber stag slabs.

Greg that trapper is nice. A XX trapper is on my got to have list. Knife show tomorrow,
maybe I can find one.

Three gec's from a trade (including my favorite gec pattern ) plus a s-w 897uh I couldn't pass up for $20. Needs some sharpening work but that's it. It's serial #54203.

Gsmith, love to see the finished product when you're done with those Amber slabs. Love Amber bone and stag. They have potential.

Iman I am going to put the amber camel bone on 1970 Case sodbuster with a liner lock. I haven't decided on the stag yet but I will keep you posted.

Yep. The stag delrin was much better on the s-w and shortly thereafter uncle henrys, it actually looks really nice.
