More trades in today (except the cheap 897UH) I've been wanting to try a remington bullet style trapper for awhile so I acquired these. They are '07 and '09 tidioute 73 trappers, both mint. This trapper style is really excellent, broad, sturdy, very comfortable in hand, not too big for your pocket. Suffice it to say I really like it. I'm hoping to find another to use, if not then I'm gonna sharpen one and put it to work.

And of course another schrade, plus a camillus workin' knife that I like better than the workin' knife I traded it for.

Nice pick-up on the GEC's. I have a 73 single blade and it's a great EDC knife. Fits right in the watch pocket of my Wranglers. Go easy on the 2007. It's a very collectible model.

Thanks bdev. If it came down to it, I would only pocket the spey/pen one.

Nice 14 Iman, I've got one in ebony. They're a dandy!

Amen Knifeslinger. Impresses me more by the minute. Great blade for such a small frame, like it's not even in the pocket. Pretty too. Show us yours.

Ivoryman, I've got the same 14 as you. It is a great little knife. I'll probably never pocket it 'cause I have a GEC #33 conductor which is my go to knife when I need a small knife. It's hard to beat the 33.

Here's a pic. A bad pic at that. ::facepalm::

Nice #33, bdev.
I'm seeing a lot of the 440C SS GEC (acorn shield) patterns in American Elk up for sale lately. Anyone know why that is?

I know why....because there are collectors that will pay two to three times the original price. ::dang::

Edit....let me clarify.... I'm not saying this is a bad thing. The owners of the early Stainless GEC's see the secondary market hungry for these patterns and are more than happy to make them available.

Didn't GEC run a recent series of knives with acorn shields and 1095? I know it was unofficially used on SS knives only for most of its existence but I thought that may have changed last year.

I just checked all of the GEC 2016 releases and all of the Acorn shield patterns were 440C.

This 6383 came in the mail today. looks like one of the small blades has had a broken tip and been sharpened down. One of the case experts can prob'ly tell by looking. Even so I think it's a beauty.

Clean it up Scott. Do your magic on it and you could sell it as mint, never sharpened, never carried and make a Brazillion dollars on it.
