I have been getting a 'lill crazy lately picking up new bone... 
I have had some good luck in some finds as well as being sucked into blue bone by Case XX ... I can't resist their power over me....

Also, 
I recall reading that the #6 in pattern number was for bone (The first number indicates the type of material used to make the handle) .... but I think it also extended to Jigged Synthetic & Jigged Laminate. I guess a red hot needle/pin will reveal the truth.... P.S. I have not commented yet on your Case XX EDC for today ....

Yep, it can get confusing though. Here is a 1978 example that is Delrin. They also use the 6 as the first digit in the model for "synthetic bone". It's one without the oval around the logo. ... Years ago, I was really excited that I had so many "bone" Case pocket knives ....

It's a clean one for sure! I collect knives from 1978, TOPDOG. It's the year I graduated high school. .... I am doing some more research TMK.... looking for a "loophole in the black hole" so to speak..... P.S. If you remember seeing a middle-aged guy with an iPhone in his hand, a Blue tooth era bud and an Apple watch at your High School graduation with several knife cases on his belt .... you'll know I worked out all the kinks...

These are new pick-ups that need to be cleaned up and I was afraid would show heavy pitting on the blades, .... but the blades turned out OK, and man oh man I like these HOKs The Remington has great snap for an old knife and is going to make a sweet 'lill EDC

Great bones on your western No.63 ... I have an old Reminton (from the 30's ish era ) that looks like your western No.63, same style of bones on the handle.Re: BONES BONES BONES
