Skip, I-Man, and QTCut5: all great pairs. Those two might satiate the Mini-Trapper Monkey for a while!

You may indeed, Ivoryman. :D Thanx for the positive comment (and also for encouraging Mini-T Monkey to continue his handbasket ride into...well...bankruptcy. Oh Yeah...thanks a lot, buddy!)

Dan, I would like to believe you are correct, I really would (and so would my wife, for that matter)...but, unfortunately, it seems you do not fully comprehend The Monkey's insatiable appetite for Mini Trappers. ::paranoid:: In fact, based on my knife collecting experience over the past 30+ years, the word "satiate" is not even in OCD Monkey's vocabulary.

I understand a little better now. About 15 years ago, I had the Hot Wheels Monkey on my back. That little ::cuss:: bird is gone now, and not at all missed. A Monkey who listed his previous occupation as "Trapper" recently came into my life. We were forced to part ways, and the parting was amicable...however, he did introduce me to a friend who lists his previous occupation as "Stockman." Fortunately, he's got a small appetite.

OK then...I stand corrected; You DO understand the OCD Mini-T Monkey that lives on my back and whispers/chatters/screeches incessantly into my ear(s). ::uc::
Thank you...always good to know that the company I keep is sympathetic to my proclivities (but, isn't that also known as "enabling" ?) ::hmm:: . ::nod::

Love the Mini-Coppers, Dan...especially the 109W...that was the pattern that first got me hooked on Wharncliffe blades. ::tu::

Dude...the stuff you continually come up with is nothing short of amazing. If you don't open a knife museum to display your incredibly diverse and fascinating cutlery collection before you leave this terrestrial realm, the world will have lost a national treasure indeed. ::nod:: :D

Very different, and very neat. I, too, hope you'll open up a knife museum someday.

I'm waiting on a Buck 112. Ordered on Wednesday and stuck in pre-shipment since! Hope its status will change soon and I won't feel compelled to let the vendor know I'm slightly perturbed.

Nice Buck 112s, easy-openers, and wirejacks, gents!

Good choice, Dan. If you have experience with the 112 then you already know but if this is your first one you will be impressed. ::tu:: I can't wait to see your pics. I hope you get it soon.

I went with the orange GFN. It's one that has a pocket clip and thumb studs. Some folks don't care for that pocket clip, but I'm not a fan of factory sheaths. My biggest concern is that my luck with thumb studs has been hit-and-miss. If that one does well for itself, I'll plunk down for a G-10 or Micarta version eventually.

I'm looking forward to your thoughts on that variant as I haven't tried the one hand openers yet.

I'm not a fan of the leather sheaths but I do like this one. It's hard to find a nylon sheath with a snap closure let alone one that fits the knife I want to use it with.

This one is made by Buck specifically for the 112 if the need should ever present itself. They are $10 each on the Buck website and can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
