This mark appears on both blade tangs of this 4 1/2-inch English Jack: NEW ENGLAND KNIFE CO.
Goins is devoid of any information, other than making a guess that it was used as a stamp from 1910 to 1930.
It should not be confused with that of the NEW ENGLAND CUTLERY CO., a manufacturer for which there is a fair amount of information listed in Goins.

The Ulery with the etched blade and barehead handle covers is stunning.
I do know of one knife that to my novitiate eye has similar handle covers and it is a WALDEN KNIFE CO. Interestingly, GOINS’ says NAPANOCH KNIFE CO. made many Ulery knives, which was a Hudson River Valley watershed neighbor of the WALDEN KNIFE CO.

Hart Cutlery Company, New York. Coke Bottle Lock back Knife. I was able to purchase this knife yesterday at Arizona`s Largest Gunshow of the year at Arizona State Fairgrounds. Don't see these often. Voyles book says Hart Cutlery was in business from 1893 to 1905. Lockback works great, No cracks in the bone. I collect Old Winchester Knives and would be willing to trade this knife. Mike

TTC inside a diamond. These are an early Sears brand from my research. Both are mint,the curved jack is definitely Napanoch made,as I have the same knife stamped Napanoch.The coffin jack,don't know. The stamps vary,so possibly different manufacturers.
