All About Pocket Knives

I saw one that had a single nail nick....but the shield was a bit different...had GS in large type in the center of the shield.
In my opinion...date of manufacture would be the reason..but I can't find out much on the dates.
Apparently...they had 3 different style 2 blade Featherweights between 1933 and 37.

Well there's no doubt about it Johnnie, ours are correct and Sander's has replaced blade and the long knick is the older of the two

Kinda doubt that,TJ.....my point is..they made 3 different style 2 blade Featherweights...maybe more.

Here's one I got a week or so ago. Imperial - Prov. R.I. - 1936-52, jigged bone handles, never used, carried or sharpend. Was still coated in cosmoline when I got it.

Hey Johnnie, does the shield sit on top of the handles rather than being inletted into them? The shield on mine is pinned right to the top of the bone.

Not really the "Scout Bug" but mostly the fine old bone handles. though there are a couple that do not have bone handles.

Those are Beauty's. ...I know...its hard to pass up those old bone scale scouts.

Yep, just gotta be patient. I think that except for the Utica Featherweight Girl Scout, I paid less than $20 for each of the rest. I don't really keep track of what I pay for a knife, but I think that is correct. I do still have the Brown Bilt Shoes Imperial-Provicence, R.I. on its way, another under $20.
