A Ganzo 717-O hit my mailbox yesterday. Well built with axis lock (ala Benchmade), smooth action and grippy handles, at those price points these things are as addictive as potato chips. I already have another lined up in my sights. (forgive me father for I have sinned and probably will again)

Case SELECT mini-trapper wharnie ... I hate this iPhone camera - pics suck - I've tried everything - zoom, no zoom; flash, no flash ... it's MUCH more vibrant green that is shown in the pics.

The guy I bought it from called it a cotton sampler and he collects Fight'n Roosters.
I guess it's a rope knife when you're cuttin' rope......a cotton sampler when you're sampling cotton!
I'll probably cut a rope before cotton.

John, if the prices for the Wharncliffe Mini-Trappers ran just a little bit lower, I could see myself making a collection of them. For me, they have a good bit of sex appeal.

Nice buy. I have one (check my avatar) and really like it except for the position of the nail nick on the clip blade. Other than that, it's about perfect.

Yeah, the mini trapper wharncliffe's are one of my fave patterns too. I like the single wharnie blade version best (6107W) - nice and thin. Keep an eye on eBay - I just missed a clean used one recently that went for dirt cheap ... here's a good deal if anybody's interested (no affiliation, etc etc):

3 of what cam in today's mail....the jigged bone camp/scout knife I can't make out the name.....but it's a stud!
And the other camp/scout has a VALLEY FORGE stamp.

Nice haul Scott! The camp knives are great, but that ol CASE farmers trapper takes the cake. My kind of knife.

That's what I thought too till I closed it and it went buhhhhhlahhhhhh......NO SNAP! NONE. Spring didn't even flinch.
Seller said the resistance was "good". It disappeared on the way I gues....

I've got the twin to that orange axis lock, "very grippy" handles.

Received these two within the last week.

Queen #10 made in 1993. The letter Q taped on is for my inventory. A through Q equals 17 so far. I really like the #10.
Schrade 807UH, 2 3/4" Junior Stockman.

Nice queen bdev If you use the 807 you will find that the little 2 3/4" stockmans like that are dandy and unobtrusive little scalpels, I absolutely love 'em.

Thanks. I can't believe how well made the Schrade is considering it's a production knife. Not only this little 807 but all the other Uncle Henry's I've been buying.

Bdev from my personal experience with schrade it's safe to say they consistently made some of the highest quality knives of anybody in the 100 years they were in production.

Kutmaster stockman showed up today. Pretty nice bone.
It has an end in the liner. Is this something I can fix. I have never taken apart a pocket knife but I'm pretty handy.

Here are few I got.
Top 72 is the new one-no swedge on the main blade but like new.

bighomer, is that a home made handle on your fixed blade ? and, yes, it is attractive.

Here is a new addition to my Sta-Sharp collection.
3 5/8" Swell Center Stock knife, jigged bone handles, master tang: "Forged/USA" & flats: "Craftsman/Chrome ? Vanadium 9529".
Although not marked as a "Sta-Sharp" the jigged bone makes it top of the line knife which is what the Craftsman Sta-Sharp is.
Is this a Schrade Cut Co pattern ? i.e. that which preceded the 863, or is this a Camillus 72 ?

I don't believe it's part of the Sta-Sharp family. The Forged USA is listed in the Kastor list as Camillus made for Sears 1935-1960. Just looking at it, the handles look more like Rogers jigged bone and I would lean more towards the 1950s. This is a Sta-Sharp. And no, I don't believe it's an 863. Wouldn't bet my life on it but even with the nail nick on the main, I don't think that's Schrade made. Other opinions welcomed.
