Just received this 886UH stockman. This is an interesting knife since it was made by Camillus for Schrade. Here's what Orvet ( Dale ) had to say about one he had for sale on his AAPK store (thanks for the info Dale).
"The 886UH is a stockman pattern 3-7/8 inches in length. It is 1/8 inch shorter than the 4-inch 885UH. Little is known about this pattern at this point in time. I have one in my collection. It has the Uncle Henry shield, but the pivot pin is visible in the bolster, indicating that it is of pin through bolster construction and not made with Swinden Key construction. There are records of Uncle Henry 898UH with the S.C.C.+ tang stamps being made at Camillus. It is likely that Camillus made these knives. Camillus did not have Swinden equipment so could not assemble the Swinden knives. Camillus knives are pin through bolster construction. Tom Williams (historian for Camillus) told me Camillus used the S.C.C. stamps at Camillus for some Schrade knives. Based on information from Tom and the fact this knife is not made with the Swinden construction I am 99.99% certain this knife was made at the Camillus factory for Schrade. Schrade is full of interesting anomalies and enigmas; knives that shouldn’t be but still exist."
You'll notice in the pics the SCC tang stamp and the fact that the only pin through the handle is the center pin. There are no pins near the bolsters. Also, to me it looks like the reverse side of the tang was stamped but ground down. My eyes see what appears to be a W on the right side. What do you make of it? Maybe you have an 886UH and can compare.......Bruno

Does it have brass liners? Or the steel jimped liners like the Walden series?

Oh.. btw.. thanks for showing one more style of 885UH I need to acquire.
I have a Schrade/Walden and a Schrade+/USA version. Been looking for a Schrade/NY USA. Now I have to have the Camillus version too.

Never did much cotton to the thought of a green knife, but grabbed a GEC T 74 while gettin' was good, knowing if I didn't like in hand would be easy to move out. Turns out I love it. And your Case is schweeeet!!!!!

Thanks. Funny - I was the same way - never liked green knives much, but this one looks good to me. The sheepsfoot blade is massive compared to the medium stockman's which I'm used to, which is my favorite part of the big stockman

I received a duo of beautiful schrade walden peachseed bone trappers today. One is marked 293 while the other is not, the nail nick is also farther back on the blade of the unmarked one, interesting little differences in otherwise identical knives. The bone on the unmarked one is especially nice.
The other knife is a pattern I've been trying to locate, a two blade jack on the 4" square bolster stockman frame. This pattern is essentially the old cut co 2813 3/4 and I don't think a regular production post walden version of the pattern was ever made, this one is a scrimshaw blank. Not marked but I think it's a 580SC.

I would suspect that is an EOD knife. It fits the look of those last days builds that do not following any regular production model. Some may not find them all that collectable, but I like em and are on my collection list along with early production OTs and UHs.

Here's a Kershaw 1320 lockback that appeared in my mailbox this week. The shield is not correct, as it's a Falcon Famous Blades shield. According to info Orvet posted elsewhere here on AAPK, Kershaw had these lockbacks made under contract prior to their making lockbacks in house, and apparently Falcon made this knife. I've got a Falcon model slowly making its way to me through the postal system that's pretty much a dead ringer for this one.

You may be right, but I'm pretty sure it was part of the scrimshaw line. There were some scrimshaw models that had blank handles for DIY I suppose. If you look up 580SC you will find other examples of the same knife, which I don't think would be the case if it was EOD.
Nice 897 score

It's not the blank handles that make me think it's a EOD knife. It's that LTD mark with Scrimshaw handles that does. If it was a reg production blank Scrimshaw it should have a Scrimshaw tang stamp. Of course I'm not a Schrade expert, so I can't argue that as being fact. Just a speculation on my part.

Nice Schrades gents; I have one (this Stockman) that may be a Schrade EOD knife - I've never been able to find out much about it - it was in a pawnshop display case about six or seven years ago when I bought it.
Phil, that Kershaw-Falcon a collector piece for you are a toter? It looks like a very nice lockback design, how heavy is it?
KS, your jack appears to be what Case calls a Texas Jack (6292), first one I have seen in the Schrade brand. I received a Buck 119 yesterday, a 1972 variation with point down tang marking and 4 Micarta spacers. OH

Thank you Scott, glad you like it. This is the first time I heard MAC Daddy since I left CA. That broken handle on the scout makes me sad.

Nice ones everybody!
I got two more today, a minty schrade walden 832 and a nicely modified camillus. I bought the camillus from an ebay seller that goes by "chereines whitebuffalo", does anybody know if that's the same whitebuffalo that's a member of this forum? It's a nice mod job, and a great size for a single blade EDC. The washer between the bolster and bone is a very nice touch.

KnifeSlinger: The customization looks outstanding. Nice catch on that exceptional Shrade.

Just got this (Chinese made) AG Russell Agent's Office Knife. Decent quality; but, to be perfectly honest, in terms of fit & finish, it's not quite up to the same high standard that I generally expect from AGR knives (even the ones made in China). Also, I really wish the new Chinese factory (apparently the old one burned down) had kept the old design with the wharncliffe blade. I wouldn't say that I dislike the double ground dagger with false edge profile, however, it just doesn't turn my crank like a wharnie. I suppose the dagger blade is what makes it an "agent's" knife; and since it seems like it will be a perfect letter opener, I guess that's why it's called an "office" knife.

Dang, ~Q~. I gotta tell ya Bud. A saber ground blade does almost as much for me as a Wharncliffe. Not quite as much but almost.

QTCut5. Although it looks fine from here, you detected some F&F slippage. I'd like you to consider dropping a friendly note to AGR passing along your observations. I don't know anyone more concerned with QC than AGR. I do know he has sometimes returned entire shipments of knives to China that were just slightly out of spec. I think he and/or his wife would appreciate it. Just a thought.

That might be a camillus made schrade, I do not know for sure but I've seen a few of those knives with the same etch and build look. There are a few different patterns. All the ones like yours are slightly different than an original schrade walden and just look too fresh and new, they have the late walden style view packs. The view packs should be a bit yellowed no matter how well it was stored if it's an original walden.
I finally saw the paperwork in one of those packages and that's what made me think they are camillus made. Taylor brands used camillus for a brief period in their early ownership of schrade. Note the visible bolster pin in the knife below, not a trait of schrade swinden assembly.
