Thanks guys!
Yes it was a great find and I like it VERY much! A true keeper I think.
How much do these go for over on the American continent? I paid approximately $37USD for it here in Sweden, no papers or box.
And it do appears to be new only handled in the store for years.

It has a few flaws but most can be buffed I hope. Most likely never been used but has been in an antiques shop for years.

Nice one Jim! Enjoy!

I got this 1989 Winchester Doctors knife and this nice old KeenKutter straight razor. I bought the razor as an impulse buy but I'm happy with it. The winchesters I've been trying to complete for awhile but really don't know how many different ones they made.

Got a couple of Walden Schrades in today, but this one I be like'n a LOT!
Came with reg paper documenting the serial# 08309, when, where, and who purchased the knife. Can't quite make out the last digit on the date. The Schrade catalogs show the 227UH first offered in '70. With the low serial# I have to assume it was purchased in 70 or maybe 72. Not sure if this sheath is right for it though. 1970 Catalog shows a different style.

Nice. The date looks like 1972 to me.
I also received 2 Uncle Henry's today. An 897 and an 834. Got an 886 on the way which was made by Camillus for Schrade.

Hi Kerry,
These pics might help you with your Winchesters. They list all the Black Box Winchesters made by Queen for Bluegrass.....but.....only the pattern number is listed as a reference. There's no pattern name on this list. You'd have to search the net to match the pattern number to the pattern name. I owned about 16 Winchesters and have the name and number of those on file. PM me if you want them.........Bruno

Oh my, it's a thin slice of heaven. You ever get into straight razor shaving, nothing else will do. That ol KK looks good.

I was thinking 72 also at first, but after closer examination I'm thinking it was intended to be a zero. The buyer just wrote a 2 just a couple of digits over and it looks nothing to same. It looks more like one of his O's he only went half circle.
I got 80's production 897 w/ box and papers on the way too! Scored it cheap off feebay. The seller screwed up and inadvertently put 'china' in his description and I guess it scared off bidders and I got it for $16.

Jerry that chart of black box Winchesters I found on BF. I think Al from Louisiana (madmerrymonk) assembled that photo reference chart. I don't know if he put it on AAPK or if he is even a member here. Here is the thread (long but with some great photos) of the black box Winchesters made by Queen.
