That is a wonderful looking knife! I've always liked that shield style.

me too! Love this pattern.
Great one, nice color too. Nice little coping blade you have. This looks like the same color. Liner lock. Sweet action on these.
Thanks! It is the same natural bone color. Mine is a 1 of 28 SFO #852213EO knife, apparently ordered by Mike Latham originally.

Received a Kershaw Storm II today I had purchased from Scott. Thanks bunches Scott. I like it. Gonna send it off to Kershaw to get it sharpened and the slightly sloppy lockup fixed. It's slender width wise but she's a heavy duty lady. You can sure tell you have something in your hand.
Please excuse the less than stellar cell phone picture. It's an overcast dark day in The Great Midwest.

The postman delivered this IMPERIAL NAVY KNIFE (1936-1952), Prov. R.I. this morning along with my AAPK 2016 knives. I am going to say that this is a WWII or earlier military issue based on the all steel construction. All steel construction and really nice Rogers Bone handles. I've chosen to leave this knife as-is and just enjoy it as an honest-old-knife. This is the second IMPERIAL knife of this pattern that I have, the other is a near mint, unsharpened and uncarried. Phil, you probably remember this knife. I am thinking that these old IMPERIALS are a bit uncommon.

Something about that old Imperial bone and those big broad spear blades.
What a great HOK, TJ!

Thanks Tony

The knife has three of my favorite components for a knife, it's WWII, has bone handles and carbon steel blades. This one is steel through and through. And, as a plus, I got it for cheap, like 90% of my favorite knives.

That's very nice. I really like the ww2 era scouts like that.

Thanks Paul, the pattern is actually called a "Navy Pilot's" knife, but I guess it could fall into the "scout" catagory.

Thanks Scott, in hand, it's a great knife. Just a little drop of oil in all the joints and it snaps like one of those gators you have down there in the geriatric state.
K-nice K-nife Ken. I can't read the stamp, is it an IMPERIAL? I like the jigging on the handles.

Are they bone?

Nice Imperial, Ken!

I have its large stockman cousin with an advertising etch, pictured here with an 8OT which I believe it is related to.

That's cool Tsar Bomba! I have seen anything "Winston" in years.
The mailman just delivered this one!

Thanks, Ken, it's the only Winston-stamped knife I've seen besides some of the old Cases commemorating WInston Cup cars. I think this one was a legit advertising or bonus/mail-away knife for the cigarette brand. The etch isn't super dark but the knife is otherwise nearly dead mint, snappy and tight. You can see the shared provenance easily when you see it together with an 8OT and the larger Sears Craftsman stockman built by Schrade in the same era.
Guess I'm gonna be the last one to get his AAPK knives, but I will remain patient and Zen about it all.

A good barlow that will sharpen up real good.
Colonial took their standard barlow and replaced the pen blade with an electrician's screwdriver blade.
I also have a Ric-Nor with a sheepfoot main.

No new knives today but a really good book about Eskilstuna knives arrived by mail.
Excellent book with loads of pics and info on many of the makers.
PM me if you want the email address to a guy who sells them here in Sweden. It´s in Swedish of course but you´ll get the picture if you use Google Translate.
