Nice pics, especially like the flint knapped knives with the antler handles. Beautiful works of art. Of course so are your mass produced, but those babies are hand made, one of a kind beauties. Great pics and keep them coming.

Taking a walk in the woods this morning, and came across a small Maple next to a creek, and down at the bottom of a steep hill. Since it was protected somewhat from the elements, the leaves were still hangin on. That tree, plus the red berries, were a welcome respite from the Winter brown. I thought it was a good spot to park my PocketEze for a photo.

Great photo Ike !! The red on the shield and the red berries pull the eye right into the picture . Good spot indeed, beautiful setting, beautiful knife. Love those bones and great pics.

Hey thanks for the compliments, that means a lot. I try to make pics that other people would find interesting. I can look at the knife anytime, anywhere, but the pics document the time, the light, weather, the ground cover, and lets other people see them with hopefully an interesting background. No I don't re-arrange the leaf litter or whatever is in the pics. I like to look for backgrounds that need no arranging, or altering. The goal is the true, authentic, untouched by human hands, just as mother nature left it. Shots of exactly how the world exists around me without alteration. Thanks again and always appreciate the feedback.

I like those, they are works of art. And Soldotna huh? I worked there one winter on an electrical job in 1994. The warmest it got was -18 degrees in middle of the day. 30-40 below at night. Saw Moose walking down the plowed roads every day, Grizzly bears at the dump, big heaves in the roads from the freezing, and not much to do in town after work hours. Was a beautiful place though. Here are several pages of the pictures I took while we were up there in 2019. We stayed with my brother and his wife in a friends lodge right on the Kenai River for almost 3 weeks. Daaaaang. Really nice ones guys. Can't say enough. Ivory the yellow bone on that Northfiled is a fantastic hue of yellow. What year is that? Wondering if it's from the same batch o' bone as my yellow rose jack....
