Nice ones Dave! That 5347 is a scarce knife in my opinion. Worth much more than the standard 10 dot model. At least that is my recollection off memory. Could be wrong.

That 5347 in a 10 Dot, I am told is the rarest of the 10 Dot patterns. Really hard to find, I am told. Of course, you prolly have 5 of them.
The 6249 Copperhead is near mint and a 1940-64 XX.

These two knocked on my door today.

Both are the Queen #10 Heavy Jack pattern. The one with Rogers bone dates to 1948-50.
The other with Winterbottom composite was made circa 1958-60 and has the Q STEEL tang stamp and the Queen Steel #10 blade etch.

Love these #10's. There's something about that basic jack design. Fits great in the hand at around 3 3/4" and the clip and pen combo is timeless.

Went hunting and fishing at a lodge in Alabama last week (owned by a roofing felt manufacturer); they gave each hunter a small Buck Knife, a sweatshirt, and a ballcap. I was pleased to see the knives were these little Buck lockbacks, USA made. OH

That is a cool Buck, OH. Did you give it a whirl in the field or did you leave it pristine? I know you went there equipped with a blade or five.

One of my recent acquisitions is a Buck 112 with a 450 blade that I'm about 90% sure was replaced at the factory. You simply can't tell that the knife's been apart, it locks up absolutely flush and dead tight in every direction, just like a brand new mint 112. If not for the fact that the 450 blade is a drop-point (and this one has no nail nick), you could easily handle and use the knife without realizing it's a reblade.
I'm half-inclined to buy the original owner's story that it was a factory error/parts knife that made its way to him but he didn't really seem clued in regarding cutlery. Regardless, I got a great price on it and I'm glad to have it, so I figured I'd take a few minutes tonight to post a pic. More to come on the weekend.

Tsar, I'd never seen one of this model, so I've just kept it (it's only 3" OAL - don't know what I would do with it while hunting). I had a Buck 110, a Buck 118, and a Case 6347 with me for any serious work - unfortunately I never saw a deer while hunting. All my knives came home clean and sharp! OH

Tsar, you slipped one in on me! I've seen lots of wild Buck blade jobs, but most are done by good knife mechanics. A factory job like that must be a "build out" of which there are also many. I like it! OH

Thanks, OH, it sure is unique, and so quickly after I finally got my first proper 112. These Buck lockbacks can multiply right quick if you aren't careful. I may just need to go out and get a "normal" 450 too, that would make some interesting photography.

It's a swell center, and the only portion I can read on the back is 2042?

I just got the mail and received 4 pocket knives I will use as giveaways. They are from various countries and I also received the tiniest Bowie knife I have ever seen.

It's made by Elosi in Germany and it only measures 4 inches.

Nothing special about it otherwise but I couldn't resist it as it "spoke" to me somehow.
I will present it as a novelty gift for an American friend who collects Bowies.

Now off to pick up a couple of Swedish pocket knives!
