Thanks guys, this whittler is great for opening stuff ( which usually means knives I've aquired) or cleanin your nails or cuttin rope. This thing is sharp!

Got it for a great price and its perfect for what I need.
I have a ton of old and new knives that have a strong snap to them but this one is the strongest by far! I was really surprised. Very happy with this one. I am a GEC fan big time now!

Well, it happened. I like that GEC so much I cant get myself to mess it up. I put it away (I knew this would happen).
I am afraid I am addicted to GEC's now!
I went back to this Case ss. I like this one alot too but I wont be bummed if I mess it up with edc use.

I guess you'll have to get a GEC second that you can abuse a bit.
I find if you want to really discover the true beauty of a knife, you just throw it in the pocket for a bit.

I'm not a fan of chinese knives, but I've been carrying this Buck 375 that my Dad bought, he bought it because he thought it was American made.
It's not to bad overall, but the shield fell out after it's first ride in the washer.

It will be in my vest this trout season just in case I need to cut the line, I won't feel to bad if I drop it in the water.

You are correct, gentlemen; some knives are just too good to go outside. I know that most of the traffic on AAPK is in traditional knives, and that is my love as well. But I thought I would share the very first knife I ever had that was not just a tool, and which started this umm... disorder. It was a gift from my son, engraved. I treasure this more than any other knife I own, and often carry it on my belt. Buck Alpha with ATS 34, thumb stud. I ordered a bolt-on set of bone from MM sometime back.

Great lookin knife, the ones that mean the most are the most valuable to you.

These are what I've been switching between lately. '98 Case Copperlock, '83 Case NKCA Swing Guard Lockback Large Coke Bottle, Victorinox Champ that I've had since I was in Boy Scouts in the mid 90's, Victorinox Pocket Pal.

I still throw a Case mini Copp in my back pocket a lot.
