I'll chime in with this.
Fantastic knife and "caboodle", to use Rocky's term.

REMINGTON R6483, two blades, three tang stamps, 3" closed, tipped bolsters, one spring, pocket knife.
Would be interesting to know what the pen blade gave its life for. LOL I'm guessing it got broken vs sharpened that much.

Kudos to whoever reshaped and sharpened the pen blade into the little stub!
It sits perfectly, I have no trouble pulling the pen blade out with my fingers.

Very recently, this pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT purchase the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, while not the prettiest pocket knife, it still has a lot of life left in it and it will be added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a REMINGTON R1033, two blades, three tang stamps, 3 3/8" closed, two springs, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "U.S.A. (vertical) REMINGTON UMC (inside circle) MADE IN (vertical)" The main blade back tang stamp says, "R1033" The secondary blade front tang stamp says, "REMINGTON UMC (inside circle)" It appears that one handle side has been replaced. I do NOT know what the material is, but it could be bone. The main blade has an ok half stop, with a good opening and closing snap. The secondary blade has a crisp half stop, also a very good opening and closing snap. Despite the condition of both blades and the replacement of the handle, overall, this pocket knife is still in FAIR+ condition. I gave it a minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Recently, this "BARLOW", pattern or style of pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT purchase the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. But upon discovering it among the other pocket knives, then holding it and then finally, just admiring it....I decided to give it MUCHO pocket time. It also got added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a REMINGTON R44, two blades (the secondary blade is broken), three tang stamps, two bolster stamps, 3 3/8" closed, long main blade pull, two springs (the secondary blade spring is broken in half), "BARLOW", pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "U.S.A. (vertical) REMINGTON (over) UMC (inside circle) MADE IN (vertical)" The main blade back tang stamp says, "R44" The secondary blade stub, front tang stamp says, "REMINGTON (inside circle)" Both bolsters are stamped "Remington" The main blade has a very good half stop, a good opening snap, a not so good closing snap and is SCARY SHARP. I faced a minor dilemma when I found this knife. What to do with it! Choice A, get the secondary blade put back in. Choice B, reduce the knife to a one blade pocket knife. Choice C, leave it the way it is. I went with leave it the way it is. The part of the secondary blade spring that is missing is on the pivot end. I can close the secondary blade stub further than if the spring was not broken. Therefore, no part of the secondary blade stub sticks out to catch on flesh or fabric. It also reinforces that part of the liners. Overall, this pocket knife is still in VERY GOOD condition and I am going to love looking at it, carrying it and using it. A very minor cleaning was required. I took some pictures and here it is.

Please be patient with me this would be my first post. I am going to respond to the original question we’re are the Remington collectors? I have inherited my father’s “collector of everything. Remington knives were his mainstay. He’s been gone since before the original post. It’s time for me to learn and share. I’m the only sibling who has the collector blood like him but I am a Lionel train fan. Fixed blades pocket knives galore. I will share some pictures once I get the hang of this.

Right On. I also like trains and slot cars. What scale trains you run? Do you collect old stuff or new stuff? I favor diesels. But - all that said does not relieve you from sharing your knives!

Thank you for welcoming me into this forum. I would like to share some pictures. The next thing I need to learn is how. I would like to share some pictures of the original bullet knives my dad had. They are not in my possession and are going up for auction pretty soon. I have 3 other siblings and they do not want any of them and I don’t have the money to buy them from the estate. I picked a couple from the estate which I will share when I get permission and learn how. My oldest son is interested in some of grandpa’s fixed blades a very nice rh 46 a rh38 no sheath. The 38 has some rust on the tip. Will continue to share soon.

Sorry Ray didn’t see your post until after I asked about how to properly share pictures.
I absolutely can share where they are going to be auctioned through. I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to.
Donley auctions. Not sure of the date.
