Hey, what the heck. I'll play! This one has some damage, but I still like it (personal reasons)

Sabre? Probably not, but it looks a lot like my Sabre dogleg jack.

Well, that didn't take long. That's exactly what it is. It's special to me because it was my first pocket knife back when I was 7 or 8 years old. It's a miracle I still have it 57 years later.
Ok, I'm not sure how this works. Next?

That was one of the, maybe the first knife I bought. I carried it for a long time, but lost it about 40 years ago. I was able to find a replacement on eBay a couple of years ago. It started me looking for more of the same pattern. That being said…

Bump for hints
NOT Sabre, even though it looks like it could be.
Retailer exclusive brand, but not retailer branded.
And to reiterate: Made in Japan
If no one chimes in before Saturday, I'll "throw in the towel" and reveal.

SHARP 280?
Not exactly, but close enough. The 280 was a swell end jack. The dogleg jack was a 270. You had me checking, my reveal picture didn’s show model number.

It's not a maker I would normally have thought of for this pattern.
